So whats the true deal with Detroit and its praises of strip clubs on this board. Are the dancers really that hot or are they providing extras at the drop of a hat. Could these girls really bank $400 - $500 a shift by keeping it clean, or do they need to provide handjobs, blowjobs and full service on the side?
I'm not an extra's guy and never have been. Just wondering if these really good looking women, or just ho's.
PM silkypants for his thoughts. IMHO there are very attractive dancers who provide FS, HJs, and BJs mainly because of the competitive environment in the Motor City clubs. And some who are not in the upper echelons of looks who provide also. I'm not their banker, so I have no idea what any one of them earns a shift unless I provide them with it. LOL I will not call these dancers whores. You and anyone else can use any term you wish.
Another example - there's girls who are easily 8-9/10's offering FS for under $100 in places like Tijuana (although there are also some not so great looking girls there, but that's beside the point). The area you're in makes a huge difference- local laws, economic conditions, type of clientele etc.

This is not a dichotomy in Detroit. You can get your bj and fs from fuglies or beauties, depending on which you prefer. Fuglies cost less and congregate in the lower end dives (Bgrts, Hnr VIII). Beauties are more often found in the upscale clubs (Pnth**se, Flght Clb, Cl*s**m), and while they may be whores, they're not cheap whores.
There are definitely both. I look for the gorgeous ones if they aren't too busy.
As I have posted before, Detroit clubs were sustained by the great expense lunches and dinners in the glory days of the automotive industry. With that money gone, Detroit dancers are desperate to make money any way they can.
I think it is different than the lose of the auto industry expense account. (The IRS made expensing such things a jailable offense years ago). If you look at the number of good looking girls in porn now compared to 20 years ago you have your answer. Sex for money has lost its stigma and movies playing up stripping is easy money and "its just sex" attitude has drawn in more girls. 20 years ago you would go to a club and there would be 6-10 dancers in a large club now a large club has 30 working. Dancers used to make their money on stage and at the tables now the numbers force the girls to do lappers and the only way make money in lappers is extras.
Detroit is not Tijuana. For the non extra's guy you can get a great two way contact lap dance from a few girls and all of them will sit on your lap and let you grope them for between $10 and $25 a song. I got a set of 4 super wild dances this weekend from a girl but she finished with a complimentary blowjob so I don't think that counts for you.
I still rate Mons Venus way ahead in the pretty girl department compared to any of the clubs I have been to in Detroit. The Miami clubs I have visited also have a larger selection of pretty girls and some huge implant asses as well. Not my thing.

There are not many clubs in Detroit where a dancer, even a 9 or 10, can make a living without providing extras. Its simply a competition thing-- once some of the dancers in a club start providing extras, they get most or all of the lap dance action, assuming that other things are more or less equal (such as dancer attractiveness). There are some clubs where management and the clean dancers, drive away the dancers that provide extras---- but I don't frequent these clubs, at least not more than once.
That said, you'll find a full range of extra-friendly dancers, including a few 9's and 10's in some of the higher end Detroit clubs. I have been to clubs that feature a higher percentage of 9s and 10s than the Detroit clubs (Mons Venus comes to mind) but none of those clubs feature ITC extras, at least to my knowledge. So, SCs seem to find a niche-- some feature lots of beautiful dancers but no extras, some feature lots of extras but a lower percentage of stunners, and some feature none of the above--- they must have cheap beer and a good location to stay in business. One of the most important things to understand about strip clubs is that the price for services is going to be based upon not only demand but also the economic conditions of the area. Even if you're a beautiful girl (e.g. 9/10, or even 10/10) and you live in Detroit working as a stripper, you'd probably have to do some degree of extras to get by, as it's simply an expected level of service from the clientele at the clubs. But take the same girl and throw her in some glitzy NYC (particularly Manhattan) club and she'll barely even have to allow touching, nevermind extras, to make good money.
