What's the general difference between American,Canadian and Mexican customer and

Sunday, January 27, 2013 4:06 AM
Hello everybody.I live and work in UK right now but soon going to US.I might be asking a silly question here but i would really appreciate if you could share your opinion with me.I am the kind of person who like to loosely generalise/'softly stereotype' on what things are like (or what they feel like) and have a 'synopsis' view of everything…i like to read overviews on here about anything.Overviews of clubs in particular areas,an overview of the exotic dancing industry in general, comparisons between how the clubs are now and what they used to be 10years back etc…So i was wandering..US,Canada and Mexico are all Americas,so technically their citizen are all americans (US americans or Canadians please don't get offended,i only mean theoretically). Now i know the governments of these countries tend to shape up their nations, and the other way round-the nations tend to shape up their governments..Furthermore the neighbouring countries tend to rub their cultures on each other, like Mexico and USA influence each other, and then USA and Canada influence each other [view link] a customer in a strip club in the above mentioned countries/or from the above mentioned countries will act in a certain way..that makes you think sometimes: 'Hey how typical!'.For example i've read on here that Canadians tend not to tip a girl on stage or for company, but you can expect that from Americans, even though the girl in Canada is likely to perform fully nude on stage.Although i also read that Canadians are more polite and safe, wheres when going to work in US club-one must have a pepper spray and taser gun in a car, just in case. Then the Mexican clubs apparently are interactive brothels and customers have to literally 'walk on broken glass' there not to get into any trouble with the locals, but its very common for a local to buy a drink for a tourist in a strip club, even though they don't have much money at all.Ok guys,in few words please share with me what the clubs and the customers in the clubs are like in these countries, and also when i ask what the clubs are like i generally mean how dirty or classy they are,how much 'extras' are expected.I only dance and cuddle, maybe occasional kiss, or grope on a tit or bum,but wont go further than that.I really don't want to run into area that is 'totally wrong' for me as well. Many thanks in advance for your inputs! xxx

The difference between American Canadian and Mexican clubs is 2,703 miles (4,351 km). Mexicans are shorter, Canadians drink more beer, and Americans have 1000000 times more 2AM'ers. Everything else is the same except Canadians don't pee standing up.

Two exceptions to the Canadian pissers. Farmerart and myself unless of course we drank too many beers and moved on to shots with the dancers.

rose; How good are your language skills ? English is becoming less the "universal language" in English speaking countries. Canada: 23% of population speaks French. Smallest bill in Canadian currency is a 5 dollar bill, with 1 and 2 dollar coins available. The former coin has a loon bird on it, so tips tossed on stage are commonly called the "Loonie Toss" Mexico: In case you didn't know, Spanish is spoken here. Paper currency in peso notes. Smallest might be a 10 peso note, though the 10 peso coin more common. When you learn how to paragraph, I'll clue you in on calculating various currency exchange rates. USA: A lot of Mexicans are sneaked into here. Probably 15-20% of population speaks Spanish. If these folks know any English, they won't let on when you say "don't touch here". Many ATM's you must choose Language option before withdrawing cash.

I know that you are looking for broad stereotypes, but that can wind up narrowing your perspective and perhaps limit your earnings. Where exactly are you planning or even just thinking of working?

Mexicans and Canadians are not Americans, regardless of the continent they inhabit.

Yes 'sclvr5005' i am looking for broad stereotypes,-as i live an ocean away,i need to get at least a general idea on how things commonly are…i spent crazy amount of time reading reviews for clubs all over North America (USA,Canada,Mexico) and know whats going on,but i just really need to hear some [view link] know,it takes weeks of reading reviews for clubs and going through discussion topics just to get some broader picture on how the industry is in one country.and even more time to see how two neighbouring countries [view link] eyes hurt now:( oh and i can paragraph 'minnow', i just got carried away writing and didn't realise how much i wrote:) I only speak English,so would work in an english speaking country only. Some of you might think,-how can she even compare mexican lap dancing scene with american and canadian..well a couple of years ago i met a girl who said she worked in Mexico as a lap dancer for a few years and she looked and sounded like a normal lap dancer and was making good money in my club near London, just stripping,a lot of guys seemed to like her,and she said stripping in Mexico is the same business as here in UK and people just buy dances and its good…hmmm…how come nobody ever say that on this website lol..

Rose- so lap dances, customers and clubs in general are all the same across Europe?

I live in the States. Been to a few clubs in Ontario and one in Quebec. All Canadian clubs seem to be all nude. Many girls up there will start talking OTC after a dance or two. I was the only one who stage tipped, mostly US$1 and US$2 bills. Strippers are the only Canadians you can rely on to not turn their noses up at US currency. Canadian clubs attract under-21 guys from the States. In the Quebec club, when the stage dancer took off her g-string, the custies stared at her cooter so hard I thought it would explode like in "Scanners". I was in a Mexican club just once many years ago (not in a border town, catering to Mexican guys). The lap dance booths all had doors, no-holds-barred contact. A hot dancer worked me for OTC, but she seemed to shooting for more than one-shot P4P. The great thing about Mexico is that the word "motel" specifically and always means "sex motel". There are lots of them, and these sex motels are much nicer than hotels of similar price. It seemed like Mexican stripper bush is normally landscaped but not clear-cut, although I way be out-of-date with that.

i see what you mean sclvr5005,it looks like i'm trying to generalise what the lap dancing is by continent..which is too general,-but what i'm trying to do is to get as broader picture as possible where possible.I like to think big lol. And to answer your question-of cause the industry is not the same across Europe. But i bet nowhere in Europe it is like in USA or Canada! I'd have to spend at least a month reading reviews on this website to give a more correct and informative answer,-but from what i heard,-its worth trying to 'just dance' in Ireland and UK,maybe a few of places in Spain and Germany with a good research…but most other countries in Europe tend to be more about 'extras'…i maybe wrong, but at least i have some idea, and i'm open to corrections! :)

thank you ilbbaicnl for your feedback, see folks this is what i mean, just tell me what's specific to the industry in one of the above mentioned countries! For example it already sounds like dancing in Canada would not be for me. I don't like being nude on stage and some cheapskates to stare.I hate the idea of a coin toss.I don't speak french [view link] people please keep your extreme generalisations coming.'gatorfan' that is a very curious fact that canadians don't pee standing up! i totally didn't know that, now please tell me more about how canadians differ from other humans, thank you xxx

Rose, the US is a big place and you'll find as many differences in places town to town, city to city, state to state as you would find country to country. Each have their own laws. For instance, the 6ft (approx 2m) rule that keeps a stage dancer that far from customers (usually when topless) is a local ordinance you will find in some places but not others. Some cities or towns may also require you have a license to dance. You will find different customer types and different, preferences and expectations from one location to another too. I think you should see that from all the reviews you read. Perhaps the best thing to do then is study up on the specific place(s) you want to go and ask us about those. We all seem to get around.

Another Canadian here. We Canadian men only pee sitting down when we go to USA. Us Canadian guys all have much bigger tackle than USA guys. We hate getting our tackle wet in those tiny USA pissers so we prefer to sit down rather than stand two feet away from the urinal. Rose, Canadian clubs in Quebec and Ontario probably require more contact than you are comfortable with. Off island Montreal area clubs are really just brothels as are many clubs in suburban Toronto. You might do well in downtown Toronto clubs - For Your Eyes Only and Brass Rail/Upper Brass come to mind. Lots of high roller financial types in FYEO. I know a great deal about clubs in Alberta, my home province. You need a licence to work here and you must hook up with a booking agency. Dancers tour the province working 2 weeks or so at different clubs. This is the only place where you will receive serious stage tips in Canada; but, tipping is done in the form of the loonie/toonie toss ($1 and $2 coins). Dancers do a 3-song stage set, getting nude on the third song. Fourth song is when the coin toss starts. Dancer rolls around on the floor, doing gaping vagina poses as horny guys toss coins at her. I don't like this at all, but it is not uncommon for a dancer to pick up $200 in coins after one of these sets. Dancers do about 4 or 5 stage shows during a long day (often from noon until 2:00AM). Private dances are $30/5 min and are usually non-contact. Some clubs have no private dancing. There are many strip joints in Alberta which are just regular taverns with strippers added - stay away from these. If you ever come to Alberta to work check out the Rig Pig in Nisku. This is a working man's club but the working men that patronize this club are high wage oil workers. You can make serious coin in this club and no private dances. Dancers usually stay in the attached hotel. Vancouver, the biggest city in British Columbia, is a lovely city but it is barren of strip clubs - just two of them. Lap dances are $50/song. THAT is a very high price in Canada. Brandi's in the centre of Vancouver caters to tourists and other fools. No contact lap dances. No 5 Orange in the crummy slummy part of Vancouver caters to strip club regulars. You will be expected to give up some contact if you do lap dances here. There are clubs in other parts of British Columbia but it is a tough game for strippers in this province. If you ever do come out to Alberta to work, shoot a PM to old farmerart. I have been known to drop a buck or two at the Rig Pig in Nisku. Since I am one of tuscl's horndogs, the only advice that I can give you about USA clubs is to stay away from the clubs on my review list in Chicago area and metro Detroit area. Read tuscl reviews and you will realize that Houston, Dallas, Miami, Providence, Atlanta, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and San Francisco will be no-go areas for you. Generally, in USA clubs you will be expected to give up serious contact to make serious money. But, there are cities with clubs that will suit you - Boston, New York, Milwaukee, Chicago proper, Washington DC. Writing a long post like this......how do you tell that I am killing time in an airport?

yes JackKash i get it,US is massive and diverse, but i just like generalisations,-however vague! it 'glues' all the bits and pieces of info in my head. For example, i googled 'How americans and canadians are different' (because i've met quite a few of americans, who i seemed to get on much better than with the british(!) but not even one canadian,so have no idea what its like) and i got some similar results from different websites. Some people said that theres no difference at all, some said there so many differences where to begin, both claim the other one's fatter, some said americans are friendlier but canadians are more polite etc,-i see that people have different opinions, and i see what opinions are more common, and what opinions cause strong debates,-now thats something.Without visiting Canada i can at least begin to speculate what its like and whether i should visit it! I don't have all the time in the world to visit everywhere, and if i decide to go somewhere abroad,i need to be at least initially positively opinionated about some things about that country.x

oh 'farmerart' thank you so much you're the best,i've seen you circulating on here,so its an honour to get an advice from you! You know i didn't even like the americans i met from your 'no go' cities for me,i felt they were not my people…they acted reserved and seemed like they trying to learn 'their game' in my club or smth. my favourite ones are of irish descent,Bostoners...because we have so much chemistry its unreal,it always feels like we've already met before! Although german descend guys way easily impressed by me too...I have a good friend in NY where i can stay when i get there,-oh i cant wait to get in there and kick some ass, then get married and stay, live happily ever after:))

Canada: relatively safe, P4P legal... I believe there's been recent law changes where foreigners cannot work in adult clubs Mexico: P4P legal and cheep, but drug cartels create safety "issues" USA: P4P illegal (except rural Nevada) because a bunch of hypocritical self-riotous puritan duchbags like to interfere with the sex live of other consenting adults

Can't comment on the difference between N American countries but the key differences to my mind between US and UK venues are: UK clubs are (too) closely regulated by local government which makes them quite sterile and one dimensional. All are officially no contact, in practice mainly limited one way contact or strict 3 foot table dance venues. Most are in city centres and really operating in a similar market place as dance clubs. In the US the approach and attitude of local government and Police is highly variable even within local areas. i.e. highly regulated citys and limited or no regulation beyond the city limits. Clubs tend to be in industrial type areas, not mixed in with general nightlife. This leads to lots of local variation in "the rules": high contact/no contact, alcohol/no alcohol, fully nude/topless/pasties. UK: Escorting perfectly legal and easy to find means guys looking seriously looking for paid sex probably wouldn't really bother with strip clubs. US: All forms of prostitution illegal, means strip clubs can often end up as cover for paid sexual encounters. Read this site for plenty of evidence of this!! I think your main issue is securing the neccessary visa to work in the USA. Trying to work without one is a recipe for working the kind of dive bar you probably want to avoid. If you can get in then an english accent can probably mitigate against expectations of increased mileage. Most Americans are not used to encounters with people from outside the US, with the exception of Latino countries, especially away from the coasts. Stripperweb will almost certainly have members who have been dancers in the UK and US, that can give the info. that matters to you.
