  Pablo, my man, I think you are the one who has been asleep, not Eve... I suspect she got the idea that Romney might be worse than Obama for women by hearing a description of the Republican PLATFORM. If you believe ol' Mitt is going to do better than Barack that is your prerogative -- vote for him! (I just hope you don't live in Ohio or Florida) The reality is that neither candidate is very good. What I don't get is why a not very effective moderate democrat is viewed as a socialist Muslim atheist from Kenya. Anybody who believes that shit is just nuts. Don't want to vote for Obama because he was ineffective? OK, I understand that. Don't want to vote for him because you disagree with specific policy initiatives? I can understand that IF you understand the policies. Hell, I disagree with a number of things he has done and wish there was a better candidate who could win. However, most of the things I'm troubled by are things Mitt will do too. And Mitt do them worse than Obama. So there is no real choice... But, c'mon dude, you're alleging that Eve is stupid because she is voting for Obama and Obama was unable to fix societal problems with respect to women's issues that have been ongoing for more than half a century? When the alternative was nominated by a party with a clearly anti-woman platform? When the alternative is part of a party that has congressional and senatorial nominees who deny basic realities abou reproductive biology?! Yeah, Eve is the one who isn't paying attention... Why did I vote Obama? Simple, the Supreme Court has 4 conservatives, 4 liberals, and one swing. The conservatives tend to vote as a block (with notable exceptions, like Obamacare) but the liberals don't. Most justices are, ahem, rather old. Our next president will shape the court. Our next president will also shape the lower courts, but the impact of the supremes is more obvious if you follow the news. Name some recent cases where the conservatives have been on the side of freedom and the liberals against... (For the record, the only case that comes to my mind is Kelo. Perhaps you know others. And Kelo was complicated, though I feel morally it should have gone the other way. Legally I don't know since I'm not a JD.) So go for it Eve! Vote you conscience! Next time I'm in Tampa I'll make sure to get a lapper from you. And Pablo, you vote your conscience too... Just don't be dissin' people as stupid when reality backs up their specific case...

  Sorry for the diatribe. I'll finish it up by returning to better topics... Anybody know if Eve does OTC? I'd like to go down to Tampa and do some "polling" before the election.

  Up onto sopabox I think that we need a more libertarian viewpoint. The only way to push Libertarian is though the Repulican party. Libertarian is not Right or Left. It is "Government need to Butt the Fuck Out" party. MOst "Tea Part" are libertatian in their views of govenment. The federal government needs to be at least halved in size within the next 10 years. If it is not in the constitution the feds have no right sticking their nose in. That goes for abortion, religion, stripclubs, whorehouses, school diets, gun control, education, FEMA, "TSA"(what a joke),Patriot Act, and any thing else that the government sticks it's unwelcome nose into. Anything the government touches turns to a means to oppress the populus. Redistrubution of wealth by the government makes us all universally poor and the government wealthy. We currently have a choice between the lesser of two bad choices. Anyone who think that a "Liberal" with the attitude that the govenment must protect you from yourself and some faceless bureaucrat in DC can tell you how much you can make and what you can spend it on only need to look back to Nixon and Carter's wage and price freezes. Carter's 70% tax rates and his 16% mortgage rates. Government is the problem and Obama wants more government therefore Obama is the problem. Remember the old saying that I will update: First they went after the children in the schools by teaching that parents are wrong and govenment is God in the name of fairness. Then they starved the children in the name of health. Then they went after religion saying that you must pay to kill babies because someone who works may want to kill their baby and you say I don't care because I have no children and abortion does not bother me. Then thay took the guns away from law abiding citizens and you said nothing because I am not a hunter and own no guns. Then they confiscated all wealth above $200,000 and you don't care, I don't make that much. Then thay taxed all inheritance so family farms were sold government favored corporations for taxes and you said I'm no farmer. When they confiscated all wealth above $20,000 and you had to go on welfare. Then there was no food because the government agent and his politcal science degree could not figure how to plant the seed to grow crops and think chocolate milk comes from brown cows. Then they close the strip club because it is demeaning to women. You shout WHY ME there is no one left to listen as all the other voices have been silenced one at a time while you did nothing. The only guns are in the hands of government thugs and we have condemmed our children to a feudal life of servitude and there is no longer an America to which they can escape. Off soap box

  One other thing all Mormons are Horndogs and value profit. That is why there Strip clubs in Utah (they are better than the ones in DC) and they sell liquor.
