Doing some laundry this weekend. I recall that some of the items are from my last club visit. As usual upon arriving home I tossed all my clothes and my jacket, right into the hamper and went straight for the shower. Eau de Stripper, that curious mix of fruity body spray, cigarette smoke, pussy and sweat does tend to seep into everything, including my hair. Very little glitter this time if I recall correctly.
No wife here but I always used to like to be able to hit a club with a casino around. The smoke is the likely give away and the casino story always covered that.
I've also noticed a lot less glitter residue than in bygone years. I had thought that was an eternal stripper by-product, but the vogue must have played itself out.
There was only one stripper wearing it the last time I went to a club. I do recall one trip in particular when I walked in the door of my motel room and in the mirror caught sight of my shiny crotch.
When I know I am going be going to a strip club, I always wear a suit that is next up to go to the dry cleaners. My only concern is that the scent may stay in my hair when I return to Mrs. Chitown. If I don't get in too late, I take a shower before going to bed, which is not unusual for me, so will not arouse suspicion.
Oh, and the actual point of my last post was that some scents translate, they last in clothes and hair and are pleasant in their own way, or at least pleasant enough to trigger that emotional connection. Sadly, for me, "bar" and "stripclub" are not such scents.
I know, certain scents do hold a strong emotional connection. I love the smell of wood smoke from a campfire in my clothes. I love the smell of a cigar in my beard. My summer place has a distinctive scent. In the winter we close the place down and cover everything with mothballs and newspaper. In the spring we open up, but it is very damp. By summer the woodsmoke smell from the fireplace has seeped into everything. There is also a very faint "lake" smell. Part seaweed, part beach. It all combines for a scent that is pure "Lake" to me. After a week there it pains me to wash my clothes when I get back. The smell, that lake smell, it smells like...vacation.
I love that stripclub smell, but unfortunately I must immediately wash/burn my clothes upon entering the house, or else my katana-wielding missus might get a whiff or two....then it's curtains for me. Getting that smell in my hair is the worst (my hair is considerably longer than you gents), and nothing short of an immediate shower will remove that wonderfully recognizable scent. *sigh*. Oh to be single again, for just one scent-filled night!
... and yes, I know "eau de" actually translates to "water of" not "scent of", but in the vernacular it is used as a sarchastic reference to a pretentious scent.
