EL PASO — A man who came to the aid of another who was involved in a fight outside Jaguar's nightclub, ended up being shot in the chest, making this the Crime Stoppers “Crime of the Week.â€
Early Monday morning on April 2, a fight broke out in the parking lot the nightclub when a patron tried to help the person being assaulted. The victim received a gun shot to the chest and the person being assaulted was stabbed.
Officers discovered that a third person involved had been knocked out during the fight. Nobody involved could provide an adequate description of the assailant; only that he was an Hispanic male, approximately 30 years of age. Investigators received information that the assailant may possibly have been involved in a hit and run accident that occurred a few minutes later at Lee Trevino and Gateway West, but this has not been verified.
