  Clearly depends where you are but I am not surprised it works in some places. Try doing that in a trendy bar/lounge here in Manhattan though, and you'll either need to offer something in the $xxxx range or get slapped on the face. I can't imagine good looking girls agreeing to $50 unless they are in some sort of extreme financial difficulty, or they're just an actual hoe in disguise.
