We've all spent enough time in clubs to pick up on a stripper vibe. Some girls seem born to be strippers or seem like naturals. Another thread got me thinking. We've done the celebrity stripper several times, but let's concentrate instead on who gives off the vibe and who you could see being a stripper. We'll take out Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra since they basically are strippers, or at least honorary ones. Also porn stars aren't really "celebrities" in the sense I'm talking about. Which celebrities could you see swinging on a brass pole in a g-string or taking a guy into the VIP for some serious grinding?
It's a good question, but it goes straight to the heart of what celebrities actually do in order to get to be famous. I think there's a whole lot of recent new celebrities who WANT to have a "stripper vibe" but fail because of either going too far or not far enough.
Not far enough: Demi Moore, what'sername the Playboy Bunny (blonde, huge fake tits, not Pam Anderson, she was all into belching and being "one of the guys" and had her own sitcom for one year), Winona Ryder, the "Sex and the City" stars. They all WANT to show off their hooters but then ... umm ... they'd rather be thought of as "serious" atresses. Just can't resist the ol' cleavage-shot, though, they're as tempted as we are.
Too far: Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Brandy, just about all female Hip-Hop performers, and others. They seem to think that scanty clothing and wiggling the butt is identical to sexiness. I guess it is, in a sound-byte-length clip on CNN, but when you watch an entire song's video or an interview with them, you see that they are kind of weak on the whole "comfortable with my sexuality" thing. They think skin, alone, is all it takes; they lack the sultriness of ACTION.
Salma Hayek. If you've not seen her AS the dancer, Santanico Pandemonium, in the movie "From Dusk Till Dawn", see her, but don't waste time on the rest of the movie after she dances.
