Cheerleaders Chastised for 'Inappropriate' Breast Cancer T-Shirts

Cheerleaders at Gilbert High School in Gilbert, Ariz., can't wear the pink t-shirts they bought to raise money for breast cancer research because the school's administrators claim the slogan they bear is inappropriate...the squad's shirts say “Feel for lumps, save your bumps,” and the team planned to wear them during the school's football games during their cheers on the field and while collecting money from the crowd.

It's about standards. Schools pretty much do not allow any expressions on tee shirts. While this tee shirt has good intentions, you will get some asshole like Douchester wanting to wear a shirt that is offensive. Where do you draw the line on interpretation? You do it by eliminating all expressions even remotely sexual or offensive. My daughter's school does not even allow skull and crossbones on shirts.

It's is not uptight asshole administrators, but the asshole members of society that do things for attention with their expressions, that have resulted in the restrictions on expression in schools.

A lot of these breast cancer awareness slogans are getting rather risque. Saw some of those slap bracelets that say 'I LOVE BOOBIES' and another pink t-shirt with a girl in a baseball uniform saying 'Save Second Base.' Now that was cute.
