LA-LAX Club Recommendations

The advice I got the last time I mentioned my travel schedule was great, so I'd thought I'd try it again. The LA area has long been a disappointment to me each time I go - sad stage dances (even if there wasn't a 6' rule) and cool bikini lap dances being two of the biggest. I've got a two night trip coming up and don't want to spend my time trying out clubs. I like to go to one place and stake a claim for the evening. I enjoy drinking while I'm out, so the non-alcholic (nude)clubs are not a great attraction for me. I'll be staying close to LAX, so wisened gentlemen (and ladies), what do you recommend?

With Gratitude,
Jack

If you are looking for better dollar value, you might check out Anaheim which might be about 30-45 minutes out of LA, depending on where you are.

Imperial Showgirls is one club there I've heard good things about. From my understanding, mileage is pretty high. Dancer quality is usually decent, sometimes good/very good.

I don't know of anything except the former Hawaii Theater (now closed), so the best thing going is Tropical Lei. It's in City of Industry, so a bit of a hike from the airport. But, all things considered, it might be worth the trip as all I've experienced in LA are lame SC shows and even lamer private dances. Kinda peculiar how these big city locales have the most expensive and yet, least appealing SCs (and I'm talking about Chicago and NYC, in addition to LA).

I club pretty much exclusively in the LAX area, and if you want to stay closeby and also drink, the Wild Goose is really your only option. A better alternative might be the SRhino Torrance, which is a semi-quick jump on the 405 frwy south from LAX (405 is notorious for it's crawling traffic tie-ups). I was just there yesterday, and the dancers range from 6-9's during the day, so I imagine the nightshift is even better. The medium mileage bikini dances are $15, and they run dance specials often.

Rod: Tropical Lei is not in COI. It is in Upland. Convient if your are using the Ontario airport.

I commuted from LAX to Orange County for 20 years. Do NOT get on the 405 during rush hour. Sit in the Wild Goose, like lopaw suggested, until after 7PM.

Thanks for the catch, Shadow. I've not been to the former HT, nor to the Tropical Lei. I for some reason thought it was in the COI, but guess not. In any case, I'd probably make the drive to the Lei when next in LA because my other SC experiences there have not been less than stellar.

In all honestly if you don't want to be disappointed with the dances you are going to need to make your drinking and your clubbing two separate activities. There isn't a decent-rated alcohol-serving club in the whole city. If alcohol is a must then try either Plan B in West LA or for a really funky unique burlesque vibe try Jumbo's Clown Room in North Hollywood.

If you decide instead to split your clubbing and drinking then, if you have a car it is a no brainer: go to one the City of Industry Clubs: Synn, DV, and SR. If you don't have a car you best choice might be to take either the Fly-Away bus or the green/blue/red line combo to Union Station and then get a pickup from the DV Union Station location across the freeway.

I would recommend the city of Industry area as well. You didn't say if you'll have a car or not; if not, even a one day's rental car would be well worth it. There are five clubs all along Valley Blvd. in Industry and La Puente. Even the smallest of them, Bliss can be good. Others are Spearmint Rhino and Synn (across the street from each other in city of Industry), the nearby Paradise, also on Valley Blvd., but La Puente. Those four, alone, all on the same street within two miles of each other are good choices. Only a half mile south of Valley Blvd, on Gale Ave, is the Deja Vu, city of Industry. Even though it's only a Vu club, it knew full well going into it was going to have to compete with high mileage clubs nearby, and it's done so since opening five years ago. Read their reviews in www.zbone.com That's a Southern California web site devoted to strip clubs.

Thanks for the suggestions. Much appreciated. I will have a car - always do. I'll certainly write a review about where I end up.

Jet Srip and Bare Ellegance are the only two decent clubs by LAX. They're both nude without alcohol. I've never had any difficulty bringing my own supply of the small airplane booze bottles. Otherwise check out the COI which is probably about 45 to 60 minutes away. COI is no alcohol either but BYOB is rather easy.
