If you're looking for a good time, head to Los Angeles. According to the Trojan US Sex Census, Angelenos are having more sex than anyone else in the country. The LA Times says its city's residents are doing it an average of 135 times a year, more than a dozen times more than the national average of 120. But more sex doesn't necessarily more better sex. The survey ranked Los Angeles seventh in sexual satisfaction; its denizens are also the most likely to have faked an orgasm. In case you were wondering who's having the best sex, Philadelphia came in first on the satisfaction scale. New York came in second and Atlanta, third.
Some other interesting findings:
48 percent of Americans say the most exciting place they've ever had sex is in a car; 30 percent say it was in someone else's bed. The woods (27 percent), the beach (23 percent) and in a hot tub (22 percent) round out the top five.
19 percent of Americans have engaged in sexting and 10 percent say they've have talked about sex on Facebook and/or Twitter.
By region, Northeasterners have the most sex in the country (2.5 times per week). Midwest residents came second, doing it an average of 2.4 times per week. The lease sexed region of the country? The South, where people reported having sex an average of 2.1 times a week.
