off subject - vegas rooms.

wanna bring to your attention what i consider to be a bargain: rooms at the Eastside Cannery Hotel and Casino at Flamingo and Boulder Hiway, about 5 miles east of the strip. Hotel is 2 years old, rooms look brand new. Large, nicely appointed, comfortable and the beds/mattresses have not broken down. rooms are comparable to most that i've stayed in on the strip, but considerably cheaper (recent Wed-Sat stay totaled $165). I know this isn't for everyone. Some people enjoy the strip and the hotels there have all the amenities that the cannery lacks. And the cannery and other off-strip properties only make sense if you are renting a car. but if you are looking for 3-4* rooms at more than reasonable prices, you should check this place out.
