Sandusky A strip-club owner who thought one of his patrons was photographing his employees apparently decided to take matters into his own hands.
Tea House of the Dancing Lady owner Craig D. Smith, 74, grabbed a cell phone from one of his customers Friday night and threw it on the floor, breaking it, according to police.
“We don't allow cameras in there — not ever,†Smith told the Register when reached by phone on Sunday. “I saw the picture of the dancer in his lens, and that's when I snatched it.â€
Smith then called police to say the customer refused to leave.
When officers arrived, the 36-year-old man told them he'd been answering a text message when Smith accused him of secretly snapping shots of the topless dancing women.
Officers noted the man's screen was dangling from the phone. The man told Smith he wanted him to pay for a replacement, but Smith refused.
Police charged Smith with criminal damaging, a second-degree misdemeanor, and released him on a personal bond.
Smith has owned the Tea House since 1983. He's been trying to sell the club at 2215 Tiffin Ave. for the past two years, he said, but so far no one has expressed interest in buying it.

troop, interesting reviews.
