A fellow attorney/friend needed a document (original) over the weekend so we made plans for her to pick it up from me at Saturday night garage poker. We play about 45 Saturdays a year in a friends renovated garage and Saturday we had 15 players. She hung out a bit and I walked her out. She was stunned that her Republican friend (Me) was playing in such a diverse poker game. I had no fucking idea what she meant. She pointed out that of the 15 players, 2 were black, 1 was Vietnamese, 3 were Hispanic and 3 were Brazilian with the rest being white. Diversity in all its' glory she announced. I laughed and said we were the least diverse group on earth because we're ignoring our families and friends to gamble on a Saturday, making us all exactly the same. She feels it is diverse if you all look different. I feel that if you all look different, but think exactly the same you are not diverse in the least. She saw skin color and ethnicity. I saw gamblers. Chime in.

Its about how you define your identity. Liberals believe you should identify as how you look, not how you think. If you identify as how you think, you are more likely to be an independent thinker and seek out data to make decisions. If you identify as how you look, you are a low-IQ, low-information, low-potential voter who is easy to control.
Maybe she not just a Republican, maybe she's just plain racist. It's not a political thing, there's plenty of different races that are racist.
Probably the most racist friend I even had was Cuban.
Lib diversity is a bunch of people of all shapes, sizes, and colors, all believing the same thing.
MLK Jr with his "not the color of your skin but the content of your character" was a flaming white supremacist who deserves to be cancelled.
When the Puddy Tat's kitten (who is black) told some friends she was dating a Republican, a bunch of them were aghast, saying shit like "you know what they believe, don't you?" She doesn't care because for one, she's not political in the least, and for another, I treat her right in and out of the bedroom to the point that her coworkers are sick of her bragging about me.
This doesn’t sound much different than my basketball group. Our ages range from 17 to 83, yes there’s a guy that plays that is really 83. We have hardcore MAGA guys and extreme liberals in the group. We all share a common interest, playing basketball and usually going and having a beer afterwards. We’ve grown so close most of the group gets together for activities outside of basketball and we text each other all week cheering each others personal achievements along with sometimes busting each others balls. Politics almost never come up.
^Love the 83 year old guy. In 1984 I started an informal basketball game at a local school. I stopped in 1996. One of the original members is still playing and some of the players are grandchildren of the original players. Love this kind of shit and get the hanging out part too as I am going to Saratoga for the Travers Stakes with 4 other players from the game.

Causing me to ponder this a bit. Other than church, which is obviously defined be a similar religion, my groups tend to be aligned socioeconomically. Friends, neighbors, professional peers and associates, golf club, boating / fishing buddies, kids private school families, etc. all come in different races, ethnicities, ages, political beliefs, religions, and as far as I know, maybe sexual orientation, but we all belong to a similar tax bracket, and live similar lifestyles (except I don’t know if there are any other strip club PL’s in these groups).
@Iknowbetter The first rule of TUSCL is you don't talk about TUSCL. I've never run into anyone I know at the strip club but a lot more guys do it than talk about it.
I have a liberal niece that lives in a mostly White upper middle class town who says she wants her kids to go to a high school with diversity, so she’s not sending them to the excellent public school, but will send them to the expensive Catholic HS. There’s some black kids there, but they’re almost all on sports scholarships. So the kids will experience other rich kids and the tokens on scholarships. Phony. I told my brother she should have bought a house in the gritty working class town right down the road and experience true diversity.
@Studme53 Dems love racial diversity as long as it lives at least an hour away and doesn't depress property values.
Btw - I played basketball every Sunday morning with a bunch of random dudes, White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, who had nothing in common besides wanting to play and were at similar skill level. Guys who were much better or worse than the median skill level dropped out pretty quick usually. I quit when I became the “old head” who they would leave open and let shoot lol. Plus I got hurt a couple times. Nobody gave a fuck about diversity, only no women were welcomed, although a good woman college player could have held her own at our skill level. Just being honest.
I spent a lot of money to send my kids to expensive elite private schools to avoid diversity.
