DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Pantheion Club in Dearborn filed a $25 million lawsuit Friday against the Dearborn Police Department and two rival clubs.
The lawsuit claims that the owners of The Landing Strip in Romulus and Subi's Place in Southgate tried to have the Michigan Liquor Control Commission suspend or revoke the Pantheion's liquor license.
The complaint says the owners of the two rival clubs arranged for two underage girls to make false reports to police that they had illegally been sold alcohol at the Pantheion.
The complaint also alleges that police in Dearborn wanted to close down adult establishments in the city and investigators were "receptive to complaints."
The owners of the Pantheion say the two other clubs would stand to benefit if the Pantheion was shut down.
Reached by phone on Friday, both clubs named in the lawsuit declined to comment.
A representative from the city of Dearborn said she was not aware of the lawsuit and would research it to provide Action News with a comment.

LOL vm you are evil!
Detroit clubs are shotting themselves in the foot trying to sue the cops. You can't fight the law and expect to win. Better off making friends with them.

Sounds like another frivolous lawsuit, the kind that used to be discouraged in law school ethics courses--in the old days.
