Dancer collapses at North Toledo club

A dancer was hospitalized in serious condition Thursday after someone possibly spiked her drink with a drug when she was sitting with customers at a North Toledo strip club, authorities said.

"If that's what really happened, it has happened before but not often," Toledo police Sgt. Phil Toney said.

Lindsay Witthun, 21, whose last known address was listed as Cadillac, Mich., was in serious condition at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to a hospital spokesman.

Ms. Witthun, who had just performed several dances, was sitting with two customers at Platinum Showgirls, 5801 Telegraph Rd., about 1 a.m. when she began vomiting, behaving erratically, and complaining of chest pain before losing consciousness, according to the police report.

Witnesses told police one of the men was white, in his 30s or 40s, of thin build, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and with brown hair. He was wearing jeans, a sweater, and a green hat.

The other man was described as also white, in his early 50s, of a heavier build, and with white hair in a pony tail, according to the police report.

Sergeant Toney said it would take at least a few days before toxicology results reveal what caused the dancer to lose consciousness and whether her drink was indeed spiked as stated in a police crime log.

Maybe someone spiked her drink or maybe she overdid some self prescription...tough to prove isn't it? I hope she's ok and if it is proven that someone did spike her drink I hope they get the book thrown at them.

If these guys are guilty, they should be buried in the sand-only the head exposed, then let a company of Marines piss on them. Then removed from the sand, left, hung by the wrists, for three days, naked, for bugs and carrion to eat them.

If she didn't agree to have her name released, it's sounds like she was victim two times. She got drugged, then her real name got printed in the news so she won't feel safe working in the same club where anyone can already know her name and where she lives as a result. In effect the police and or media victimized her again by making her lose her job. She won't feel safe working there anymore.

Interesting how these guys could have just gone up to Detroit 40 minutes north and had a great time without drugging a dancer (assuming they did drug this toledo dancer)
