Rotation vs. 'Working the Floor'

Can I just say that hate working-the-floor dancers!!! Overall, WtF dancers are still relatively small compared to rotation dancers, but the numbers seem to be rising, especially at Shadowcat's favorite club. Ideally, WtFs should be older, heavier dancers who really shouldn't get onstage anymore but lately there have been more younger and prettier dancers who now don't get on rotation, I guess mainly because they think they're too goo to dance onstage for a dollar or two. Another reason could be the amount of other dancers on rotation already. Even some older and/or heavier dancers who SHOULD be WtF are still on rotation because that's how they were taught. I think that all clubs should have a small percentage of WtF on all shifts, like 10-15% of dancers per shift (if that high). As far as who's eligible, the priority should first go to those whose been working at the club the longest. If that is roughly the same, then whomever got to the club first. When the % is filled, then the dancer would have to wait for somebody to leave in order to take their place. I would even go so far as a dancer can work the floor no more than twice a week and the vets could switch WtF days with each other. Either that or increase house fees for WtF or that dancers could work the floor an hour or two before the end of their shifts. What do you guys think?

I like to see a dancer on stage before doing dances so I would also dislike having working the floor dancers. At least they are dancers, here in columbus the people working the floor are the shot girls who go around asking for tips even if you don't want a shot. THey might flash you a boob if you are lucky but overall a waste of money and usually annoying.

the stage should be the showcase for working the floor. my method is to see what the dancer does on stage and that makes me want to get a dance from her. first if i dont know what her milage is like i am not interested in spending money to find out she does air dances. on stage if she dances well, responds with play or grindage for a few buck damn it im going to get a dance out of her and hope the play and grindage continues. i dont really care to see a stripper that works the floor only, shit get on stage put on a show for us thats why we are there

Stage is an audition for LD. LD is an audition for VIP. I even usually follow that progression for a dancer that I *know* I'm taking to VIP (because we've been before), just to get the motor running.

Most clubs that I know about "require" all their dancers to dance on stage unless they "tip-out" the DJ. Some clubs like Rick's in Houston will not let any dancer "tip-out" and everyone goes on stage. Many dancers by-pass dancing on stage because of the time they lose working the floor and because doing a 4-6 song set is just too much work for a few dollars in tips. Some dancers just hate the stage because of the hassel they get from some customers. I have met great dancers who always rotate on stage and great ones who never go on stage. LDs are always a crap shoot anyway. You never know how they will turn out untill they are over.

I have some favorites whom I never seem to see on stage anymore. I believe the club requires the dancers to pay more to not work the stage. The real money is made performing dances and if they already have a bunch of regulars or have no trouble getting dances, then dancing on stage instead of sweet talking one of the customers into a dance is a waste of their time. Making the dancers pay extra not to dance on stage makes sense to me. I'm glad a few dancers don't dance on stage since I prefer only the hot dancers get on stage. Now if there are some hot dancers I hardly ever see, I would like to see them on stage and topless. I believe one of my favorites who's currently working at the beach probably falls into that category for a lot of other guys who have seen her in the last year. She lost a lot of weight and got a tan and started looking hot about a year or two after I met her. I'm always happy to see dancers who are very friendly looking even hotter. In the meantime, while she's working elsewhere, I get to enjoy other dancers which lately seems to be all or nothing with the way my favorites seem to be either working all on the same night or not at all. Makes me wonder if they are working at other Platinum Plus clubs on those weekends. I don't mind, I wouldn't be able to afford getting dances from all of them all of the time.

Last week a favorite made the comment when called up to the stage, "well I guess I'll go make my 1$". Not many in this particular club stage tip during the day, unless a guy wants to show interest in the dancer. At Plat Plus in Columbia, there is a young hot blonde who I have never seen on stage, but have gotten some memorable dances from her. Not sure if they have to pay extra to not go on stage, but like others said, I enjoy the preview for the low low cost of 1$.

Since reignfire & magicrat have both brought up Platinum Plus, I will tell you this. Day shift dancers were required to dance on stage and dancers that did not dance on stage had to pay a higher tip out. As for the ones I have seen not dancing on stage. Most were fuglies. Also the DJ calls the shots. If they are short on dancers, he makes them all take a turn on stage. Last month I saw one dancer do her turn on stage for the first time in years. She doesn't want to advertise because she is a little overweight. But does a hell of a good lap dance. The stage tips are usually not that good, so the ones that do, do it are just doing it to advertise. I have also noticed that some of the most popular dancers always take their turn on stage. Biggest stage tippers are the boys from Ft. Jackson when the can get off base. Twice one Saturday, I saw gridget pick up 50 1's from them but they cannot afford lap dances.

i've met a few dancers that don't work the stage. they claim that it's not worth it to get up there and shake their ass for a few dollars. i see stage dance as advertising. how are the club patrons going to know what you've got to offer if you don't show it. they act like they are too good to stage dance and just let the trash do it. they are willing to pay a tip out to dj not to be called up.

I'm with LeeH. A stage dance is the hello handshake, the lap dance is the audition, and the VIP/OTC is the payoff. If the girls aren't willing to stage dance, they'll have to work harder. That's not necessarily a criticism, but an opinion based in experience. It's true that I've had great sessions from girls who never went on stage, and crappy dances from girls who were fantastic on stage, but it's not the way I'm gonna bet.

In some instances I have found WF Dancers to be escorts looking for clients either for itc or otc. Just depends....I had one not too long ago quote me $100 for FS in VIP. Took her up on it, and it was a super GFE / Sex session.

GMD is right about the three step approach. The thing is, most dancers don't understand that level of marketing themselves. If they do something interesting onstage, they won't get ignored and get their one dollar.

Yes I don't like it when dancers work the floor. I think they should be stripping and lapdancing, leave the tile and carpet work to the professionals.

I really don't care either way, but one thing that really pisses me off is when dancers that do go on stage are called away from lapdances to do so. Only one of the clubs I frequent does this, but it's annoying as hell to have a dancer bolt during a hot set to go onstage. Argh!

Most of my favorites are so busy getting dances that they are rarely on stage. These clubs don't mind as long as the dancers are getting lap dances. I also agree with lopaw about clubs that make dancers giving lapdances go on stage. Any club that does this should be avoided. Columbus Gold in Columbus, Ohio did that to me about five years ago, and I have never gotten a dance there since. Now I only go there if there is a feature I want to see, or once every year or if there is no features during that time to see if things are still the same. The last time I was there it was still the same. This had never happened at that club before, but the first it occured was the last for me. When I complained to the manager about this, he said it's policy, and the only time dancers are taken off rotation is if they are giving a half hour dance.
