Police entered Bada Bing!, 863 Dix-Toledo, at about 11:45 p.m. Sept. 17.
All of the employees — 10 dancers, a manager, a doorman and a disc jockey — told police that they did not have adult cabaret licenses.
A city ordinance requires people working at an adult establishment to be licensed.
One employee also was arrested on outstanding warrants from other communities, and a dancer was issued an additional city ordinance violation for lap dancing with a patron, police said.
Police Chief Thomas Karnes said the ordinance restricts physical contact.
Police said “used condoms†were found on the floor near the VIP room, and officers also found numerous people smoking and ashtrays containing cigarette butts inside.
“We don't have eyewitnesses that say they have engaged in sexual activity inside,†Karnes said. “The condoms could indicate sex or a number of other activities.â€
Because smoking is illegal in public establishments, Karnes said, “We are going to take all actions we have under the limits of the smoking law.â€
Allen Park and Melvindale police assisted Lincoln Park officers in the search.
City building and fire officials also were present.
