I just read 13 reviews for Vegas clubs by JoefromNJ. None of them intrigued me enough to want to go to any of them. Joe has been around for a long time, so I trust his reviews.
Having been in a few of the Vegas clubs back in January, I got the feeling some gals were fishing for OTC business to "pay the bills".
If you want a measure for the Vegas economy, keep an eye on the recently completed City Center project. It cost MANY billions, and sales have been anemic, to say the least.
samsung: I didn't go to any strip clubs when I was in Vegas, too busy with other things (business trip). By "hopping" I meant the town in general and the info I gathered from taxi drivers.
Just have a look at casino stocks (e.g. MGM, LVS) for a sense of how likely a rebound in Vegas is.
I heard it is slowly dying anyway due to reducing water levels in Lake Mead? As long as they can keep going until at least 11/1 when I will have been and returned i'll be happy.
It'll never die, it'll exist on name alone. Atlantic City... It's gonna die, especially once Philadelphia gets casinos.
Vegas will change to keep existing, I think it could potentially be the next "amsterdam" since they are slowly killing what the Amsterdam is famous for.

Las vegas at least diversified before this recession so not all of its income depended on gambling and high rollers.
