Virtual Phone Numbers

Does any one have a recommendation for a virtual phone number provider? This dancer wants my number and I'd like to get a virtual one that forwards to my cell or she can txt me without giving out my real cell number. Anyone ever used Vumbers? or any others?

    Yeah I was going to recommend google voice but the article also mentions google voice.
    I also remember when Apple removed the google voice store from their app it caused some backlash but as the article's comments mention there are some alternatives for iphone owners to get the google voice-like software.
