Not every club I have visit ask to see some form of I.D. when I go to Vegas, some I am curious why some do and don't? Rhino always check so I have my British Driving Licence with me all the time. Is it the same in other cities, some do and some don't? What are they checking for, age?

Yeah it seems like YMMV. Especially if you go on a slow night or dayshift when there is less staff working.

Yea, there are checking to see if you are old enough to enter the club and/or drink there.

Some door girls I know will check ID on EVERYONE per mgtm request. Kind of like how when you go to buy alcohol at some store they swipe your ID so they need it whether you are 80 yrs old or 21 yrs old. I think Target is a store that does this with their alcohol sales. Target I think has eliminated cigarette sales.

speaking of rhino...the las vegas SR is now ranked 100 on the top 100 list. I guess people must be getting sick and tired of that $50 cover charge/taxi bullshit.

A lot of Vegas clubs ask everyone for their drivers license b/c they charge "out of towners" a higher cover than "locals". I'm 53 and Vegas is the ONLY city I get carded going into a strip club. I've tried leaving my wallet in the car, but they make me go back and get it. Once inside, you pay more, and get less than most other cities (at least the good ones).

I've never had my ID checked at a Vegas strip club before, they must stop asking once you look old.

When they swipe your ID I always wonder what they're doing with that information.

I think it's unique to Rhino. I agree with basketball, I'm 50, it's not to check my age. It's to determine whether I'm a local or not.
Go to OG and Treasures frequently and have never had to show ID (except if running a tab with my credit card).

Hmmmm, charging out-of-towners more than locals...is that really legal? Since I've been older, the only strip clubs that I've ever been carded at were ones that were obviously just carding everyone to be on the extreme safe side.

59, no I haven't had mine checked there either. I think Ricks did though. Fairly obvious I am not from Vegas. Do you have proper I.D.'s over there or do you all mean anything that proves who you are such as passport, driving licence etc? Over here we don't have I.D.'s.

When someone asks for an ID over here, they are usually referring to a drivers license. In some of the border states in the USA, there is such a thing as an enhanced drivers license that will also prove your citizenship, since a regular drivers license will basically only tell someone where you live & how old you are. I dunno what a club would do if I showed them my passport, although when traveling abroad that is your official form of ID. I don't remember if I've ever been carded in Canada or not.

I sometimes like to use my carry permit for their required ID.

I usually never get asked for ID, so it was a surprise, a happy one to be carded in Panama City, Florida a few nights back at the Gold Nugget which I wrote a review on. When the manager asked me, an old hippie for ID, it made my night, so I asked to see her ID also, she smiled and said I'm not that far behind you. I smiled and went in to enjoy some of Northern Florida's babes. Not a fancy place but not too bad. One of the dancers explained they have to check ID so they can wristband the customers so the waitstaff know who is legal to drink alcohol.

Will clubs not let you in if your Drivers license has expired? You would think as long as they know you are of legal age then it would not matter. Not that my license is expired but I had a guy a few weeks back asked to double check my license because he forgot to look at the expiration date.
