Valet guy at Cheetah's told me that nothing will change. The plan is fight the new ordinance and regulations in court. Dancers haven't changed in selling trips to VIP and hinting at extras. I have not seen any report that Mayor Bing has signed the ordinance into effect. His State of the City Address is 7pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2010. Maybe he will announce that he has vetoed the ordinance. (HA!)

I believe in Columbus the SCs ignored it when regulations got passed but eventually starting to take them serious when clubs got fined. Pasties are now standard in most "topless" clubs.

Thanks for the update, SuperDude! Here I thought the strippers might organize a march over to Windsor to protest the possible loss of jobs to Canada! Creating an international incident the media, White House, talk shows, would have fun with for months...

Watched Mayor Bing's dull speech and read the text. Nothing in it about scs. So, we'll just have to wait and see. He may try a quick crack down to show he means business after he signs the ordinance. I fear he might do just that, before letting things settle down to the "good old days."

Plan to be in Detroit area very soon. So the discussion about the clubs is one that I have been following intently. From most recent reviews, I get that the law has not gone into effect yet. True? I can only hope a court challenge will delay implementation for a while. If worse comes to worse, I will be doing a lot of driving out to Inkster (Flight Club) and Romulus (Playhouse).
A lot of rumor so far. I'll just have to find out for myself. It's a sad day for Southeastern Michigan.

Teller, when you come to Detroit. Add Bogarts across the street from te]he Flight Club. It isn't the fancy place FC is, but the mileage is very high. Other wise, not much has changed yet. We've been through this cycle before. When the crack down starts, it'll be rough, but the fun comes back. The lack of money in the city budget for crime fighting will put a damper on enforcement, but oh well, we will see where it goes this time.

Yes, add Bogart's and Landing Strip to the tour list.

A couple of things to mention, Windsor is in Canada and just as well be in Mexico as far as many Michiganders are concerned. Most people just don't go there for an alternative whether is be escorts/SCing, dining or gambling.

Another point, many of the clubs aren't in Detroit proper and as such, aren't governed by Detroit. Flight Club, Bogart's, Playhouse, and Landing Strip, just to name a few, aren't in the D.

Went to Penthouse last week, ask the bouncer about the new ordinance: 'Alan (markovitz of course) filed a lawsuit against the city and expects it to drag on for 4 or 5 years." Meanwhile, it's business as usual at PH-for me, it was even better than usual.

Stogie, stop by and check out the remodeled VIP area at Flight Club. It's much nicer now than what I recall of Penthouse last summer.

The information is encouraging. I'm leaving for Michigam tomorrow from Southern California. The clubs are one of the few attractions that make such a trip worthwhile.

It is listed as Columbus Gold but really that is the discussion board for Centerfolds.( SCL has columbus gold listed twice). I bet it is some guy flying in and hoping he'll get lucky by the airport strip club. Also Centerfolds/airport is nearby a lot of motels and hotels so maybe he is staying in one of them.
