Did I miss a memo?

I started clubbing over 20 years ago, and went solidly up until about 8 years ago.  I took a few years off but about 3 years ago started frequenting again.  And I noticed a major change.  I've been in clubs all over the US.  In the '80's and '90's it seemed to be always the same.  On a typical dance you might get a nipple brushed across the face occassionally, but everything was pretty much just a spectator sport.  And I'm only speaking of the mainstream, topless clubs here.  Of course there was always more fun to be had at the lesser-known underground clubs.  I quit regular clubbing for a couple years, and since returning, it seems that in every club, the expected behavior is touching is now allowed, if not encouraged.  Again, some more than others, but now if you aren't sure, hands are usually placed there by the dancer.  And this isn't just at local clubs, but clubs all over.  Maybe some of you haven't noticed because the "change" happened over a period of time.  But having stopped and then returned, it's still quite a nice change for me.  This may only pertain to those who've been clubbing for many years, but have you also noticed this?  Do you think it's because the industry has become a lot more mainstream, and the occupation a little more accepted?  Just curious as to your thoughts.  (And please understand that this is NOT a complaint of any kind!  It's a celebration!)

Yes things have changed. There used to be a select few areas in North America back in the days that more happened than what you mentioned (Niagara Falls, Houston, Rhode Island clubs, etc. come to mind) but this is becoming more mainstream to the point where several pockets across this country are basically brothels for lack of a better word. We can get blue in the face discussing why this change has happened but maybe millenials are more liberal and sexually open that generations past, maybe the recession and less discretionary spending made clubs and dancers up what they offered. I think the recession, Internet porn, web camming, maybe even guys more interested in going to places like twin peaks and tilted kilt versus a strip club have made this change. Either that or there's just a bunch of horny women working clubs now that like sex!?! Lol

Last night I was in a fairly nice club in a rural area and did multiple dances with a very attractive dancer. She didn't bat an eye when I caressed her ample breasts but instead started stroking my Dick through my pants. She was clearly pushing for VIP ($175 for 15 minutes) and whispered in my ear that for another $100 shed "give me a blowjob I'd never forget). She went on to tell me that many of the other dancers charged less but that she was far more talented, no condom needed, and shed swallow every drop. This wouldn't happen 10 years ago.

Most of the clubs I went to in the 80s had no one-on-one dances (table dance, lap dance), let alone private VIP booths. Dancers danced on stage, period. So uh, yes, things have changed. But you didn't miss a memo, you missed TUSCL reviews and discussions. Society is a lot more permissive now than it was back then. Movies, TV (including commercials), billboards... sex is in your face everywhere.

I wish my club would lighten up. I've been going for 20+ years and while dances are way better now in comparison, they are still very strict on what a PL can 'legally' do. It's up to the dancer how much she'll carefully allow, but they do get fined/fired if it becomes an issue from too many warnings.

Things evolve – businesses and the services they offer also evolve – now a days often times we get a lot more service that we used to across many businesses. The Internet has been a game changer across many businesses including the sex biz - w/ so much available porn; cam sites; online escort sites; sugar daddy sites; women showing their wares on sites like Instagram; i.e. “whoring” seems to have gone more main stream. Perhaps it's a combo of it becoming more mainstream and also more competition whereas pre-internet days often times one had to drive the block and pick up women in a corner in order to get one's rocks off (i.e. SCs thus had less mainstream competition) – and w/ cam sites why pay top-dollar just to see a naked chick in a strip club where you can see 100s in a cam-site and cheaper (i.e. SCs need to offer more to get the pervs in). I'm actually more surprised by areas that still have supa-strict rules to where either SCs are not allowed or they have supa-strict rules where often only air-dances are allowed - and surprised how many areas are still like this – I'd venture to say there are more areas w/ no SCs or strict-SCs than liberal SC areas.

Yes it is pretty crazy how it has changed but the price of poker has gone way with it. No more dollar lap dances or 5 dollar per song VIP trips. You seriously get to play but you also seriously have to pay!

The changes at clubs reflect changes in society as a whole. Just look at how much more explicit porn is today compared to 20+ years ago. And women today (especially younger women) are amazing sluts compared to 20+ years ago. Strip club mileage reflects these changes. When porn is so much improved, and civilians are much more willing to fuck, clubs have got to offer more to compete.

Bavarian: A lot of SW is stuck in 2006, before the housing market crash. There actually are dancers there who have been dancing for 20 years and have seen the industry evolve and don't like it (while Father Time gradually erodes their looks). In my market it depends on the club. It also can depend on how much you pay. For $10 lap dances you have to find the right girl to play with tits, kiss and suck nipples. For 100 dollar VIP groping is generally expected at a minimum.

JamesSD makes a good point. For $10 the girl might present herself as a commercial for a VIP stay and give some mileage, but you won't get what you get in VIP in the clubs that allow such things. And any girl who gives no mileage in VIP will not last long. She will get no regulars and no tips.

“... And any girl who gives no mileage in VIP will not last long. She will get no regulars and no tips ...” I guess you are not aware of the DS :)

mileage went down in my area, then the cops closed down the biggest clubs or severely restricted them. greenvile pp closed, Columbia club closely watched. it's all because there is no crime in South Carolina and the only thing agents can think of doing is spending up to 2,000 per strip club visit for a year to catch people doing things. yep for 2k, even the cops can get anyone. I'm glad the cops are busting girls working at restaurants or burger king etc, or we'd have no place to go to eat. for 2k per visit, I think I could find illegal activity almost anywhere.

I think it has more to do with the economy and location. Less number of customers with disposable income and more SC'S.

I have exactly the same observation. In the old days(8 to 15 yr ago), very limited mileage was offered. I remember floaters shining flash light and saying "hands on your side, sir" Stick shifting was considered VHM. Gradually clubs started putting in VIP rooms. Unfortunately that's the time I stopped SCing for personal reasons. Now I am pleasantly surprised at the open offering for FS. How I wish I can reconnect with my favs from the past and show them a good time in the VIP. Like the OP, I'm not complaining but celebrating.

Ha. I missed the memo too. I've clubbed randomly throughout my adult life. it was always low mileage, watch the hands, asshole bouncers...etc.... I only went when my friends wanted to go. All that changed around three years ago when I stopped in, by myself, at a sc and beautiful young dancer actually asked for my phone number and wanted to hang out OTC. Really? This shit really has changed. Perhaps it was always like that and I just never knew it or whatever. I think the initiation of cell phones making communicating with the honeys easier and safer really drove the change.
