What % of your total club visit should cover charge be? What is the highest cover (or "get inside the door") you've paid ? The most you'd be willing to routinely pay?

I'm going to say 10% tops. I'll further say that would be indicative of what the club "expects" the average customer to pay, e.g- $5 CC clubcontent to have guys spend $50 on drinks & stage tips, $10 CC would expect some LD purchases, those Vegas clubs with $50 CC seem to want mainly the $500 VIP whales.

$30 at Centerfolds SF several yrs. ago- that included all the colas or Nehi fruit flavored drinks I could down. One waitress there had the gall to bitch at me about only tipping her $1 instead of $2. After the "expected" nude dance price went up to $80, I quit going there.

It depends on the club. A club like Mons Venus, I wouldn't have much heartburn over paying $20, most any other club- $5- $10. ( I do try to clip coupons, maybe I'll get a printer this yr- too many hotel business centers have "nanny guard")

last commentTo get around that nanny guard I save the coupon and then email it to myself. Then I just open it as an email attachment at the hotel business center. This is assuming the coupon is a pdf file or jpeg.
Kahoot's used to offer a free admission coupon on their website but they took it down and posted a note saying they no longer honor their online coupon at the front door. Coincidentally after they made this decision, they fell off the tuscl top 100 list.
Vanity and Dreamgirls has the two highest cover charges in Columbus. Dreamgirls will charge $10 daytime cover and at night the door girl pushes you to pay $25 to get the "VIP package" which is just cover and 2 drink tickets.
Vanity is a small after hours club and after 2 am on friday and saturday they charge $25 cover. Usually it is $10-15.
When I go to a strip club T&A are on my mind. I do notice that when I have to pay cover I start thinking about money...And when I don't pay cover I don't start thinking about money until after I bought a dance.
Club X is the only club in Columbus that still offers free admission coupon on their website and they are the only club in the top 100. It is also the club I have spent more money at than any other club in Columbus.

Minnow, just go to the local public library. Most nowadays have "filtered" and "unfiltered" internet terminals, not to mention free wifi. I'm always amazed when I walk past some guy using the library's PCs to watch or look at porn. It's rare, but does cause one to do a doubletake.

I don't look at cover charge as a percent of total strip club budget. That being said, most of the clubs I visit charge a small cover of $10 or less. I imagine that the "Gentlemen's" clubs in my area (Southeast) charge more but I have avoided these places for years. I prefer the more relaxed clubs where the mileage is usually much more available and much more affordable. The highest cover I remember paying was $15-$20 at Mons Venus. Since it is no alcohol and no drink hustle, the high cover charge is palatible there.

I guess that $10 is the most I have paid. I do not go to the upscale clubs. It is $3.00 day. $8 at night at my favorite club.Of course I never pay.Life time membership. I feel sorry for you guys that pay $30 to get in the door.

Cover charges vary widely in NJ depending on whether the club is BYOB, topless, nude, etc. I usually pay between $5-$10 but there are a few clubs charging $15 or $20, also depending on whether they are showing UFC or Boxing PPV.

I think that about $10-$20 is about the limit on what should be charged and I easily feel comfortable with those sort of prices. I would be tempted to pay a lot more if it was a particularly good club with hot girls known for great extras. I think the clubs that charge $8-$10+ for a beer shouldn't have ANY cover charge.

One percent because I average spending $500-1000 at good clubs.
Most I ever paid was $25 at a Hustler club. Dancer quality was low so it ended up being not worth it.
Cover should be not too high, yet not free either, $5-10. You need some sort of barrier to keep the hoodrats out.

I don't usually sweat the cover charge. The most that I've paid was around $30 total (both upstairs & downstairs cover charges) on a feature dancer (porn star) night at Club Fantasies in RI. The most common cover charge that I've run across is $10, but I've seen $3-5 as well at a number of places.
It does certainly pay to check out a club's website to see if they have a free admission coupon though.

You do make a good point sinclair..but I know of a club that had a $15 cover charge here in Columbus and it was over run by thugs and ended up going out of business (Plush was the name of the club). Not to mention the door girls are usually locals who will let the local thugs in for free. The hoodlums had plenty of drug money to spend but they wanted to live the thug lifestyle and treat the dancers with no respect.
I think the best deterrent of getting rid of the thugs is to open a club in a upscale location or enforce a dress code.

Sinclair, there is a club in COlumbus called Centerfolds and they let you in for free for being over 30 and $10 cover if you are under 30. I think this is another good deterrent.

Samsung1, my favorite club has a dress code.If you look like one of the dudes from the hood, you are not getting in. I have seen it.

Popped for $30 at a club in Texas. Mostly because a friend from NY had never been to a nude club. Wasn't worth the $30 to me, being there from South Florida.

I remember the good old days in Vegas. The mob was skimming off the gambling money and virtually gave you the rest of it. Free food, rooms, shows, etc. Now every part of a hotel/casino must make a profit.Bring back the mob!

God... I honestly wish I could have seen Vegas back in the late 70's (give or take a few years). Back before a hamburger cost $26.50 and markers weren't legally enforcable... Those woulda been the days...

I guess we're spoiled in the southeast..$3 daytime admission to the Plat. Plus clubs, free in a couple others I've been to lately. Nighttime is maybe $8-10 I think. Whatever it is, unless a ridiculous amount, it will usually be a very small percentage of what we spend in a decent club.
