Una Noche en Zona Rio, A tale of a OTC in TJ
Zbott
I flew down to San Diego on a Thursday afternoon and took the 992 bus to American Plaza to link up with the Blue Line trolley to San Ysidro. For any newcomers this ends up costing a mere $2.50 for the entire fare and only takes 1 hr 15 to 1 hr 20 minutes. You can download the PRONTO app or simply buy a card in San Diego for fares. There are faster ways to the border, but if given the time it's a pretty cost efficient way to get there.
Upon arrival at Ped East I crossed within 10 minutes and made my way into TJ. As opposed to my inaugural trip to TJ in September I bypassed the shuttle to ZN and went to the row of taxis right outside the gates. I considered uber as time was on my side but based on recent accounts of police shakedowns and my own overblown paranoia I opted to hop in the closest cab to get to the hotel. Initially I asked before getting in the cab and was quoted $20 to the hotel and i exclaimed “No gracias” but after a little haggling got the driver down to $12 which i felt was still a bit overblown, but again not wanting to spend a lot of time on the streets I opted to take the cab to the hotel.
The total ride to Lucerna is like 10 minutes and 2.5 miles so again the price for the ride was a bit much but in my mind with a full wad of cash on me was worth the gouge to avoid paying the bandits with badges. When we pulled up to the hotel it was nicely decorated for the holidays and definitely looked posh from the lobby. The front desk staff was patient with me tripping through my poor Spanish and offered English when I struggled with the word receipt.
Initially I was given a room on the 2nd floor facing the road which did not have as nice of a view and a little too much street noise for my liking. I simply called the front desk and was quickly given a quieter room in the corner of the 3rd floor facing the pool with a nice walk out balcony. The room itself had a large comfortable king size bed, 50 inch screen TV, desk, chairs and a standard 3 piece bathroom. No fridge or microwave but I believe these are available with a suite for around $250. Since I was only staying the night I was fine with the standard room.
I met up with my ATF around 5:30 (initially 5 but not bad for chica time haha). I had met her during my last visit and we really seemed to hit it off. It also helped that she was a real stunner and had a good handle on english. She had told me in our whatsapp exchanges that she had been going to barber school and would love to cut my hair during the TLN if I was up for it. I quickly agreed as I have a pretty simple cut and figured if it really gets messed up I can just buzz it down. As promised, she arrived with a small bag with all of her hair cutting equipment in tow.
After a brief meeting in the parking lot we went straight to my room and she wasn’t wasting time getting down to business. She had bought this amazing outfit just for my visit with this leopard skin bustier number that had me ready to go. We decided to order a few drinks as I hadn't grabbed anything beforehand. If I had one reservation for the hotel or recommendations for other mongers is to strongly consider your own drinks as the room service drinks weren't cheap and we ended up ordering a few times. After some DFKs she had me assist her out of her bustier top and remove her undergarments. She helped place on my protection with her mouth and gave a remarkable CBJ wit home nice oral attention to los huevos. She then positioned herself on the bed for some doggy and really pushed back hard which made me even hotter. I then exclaimed cambiemos and she patted the bed for me to take my turn on the bottom. She assumed my posicion favorita “Cabalgando” (cowgirl) and put in some strong thrusts on top. We then cambiemos to “Cabalgando hacia atras” (reverse cowgirl) and again she rode me enthusiastically. She then turned around once more for cabalgando. At this point i could no longer wait and finally popped my first but definitely not my last for the night.
After a brief cuddle she decided she was ready to give me a haircut and began getting her equipment ready. Like i said i don't have a difficult cut but she came prepared and laid out all her equipment. She took her time and if you've ever had your haircut by a beautiful woman it definitely was a turn on to feel her run her fingers through my hair. When all was said and done I would say it definitely was one of my best and most exotic haircuts I ever had. While cutting my hair she and I discussed dinner plans. Lucerna offers 3 restaurants (sushi, italian and a pub style restaurant) on site if you desire to dine in or I believe you can order room service from any of the on site options. Julia and I decided on sushi as they had a restaurant co-located with the rooftop bar which offered some awesome views of the city. Dinner was reasonably priced and even with drinks I was pleasantly surprised at our total.
After dinner we had planned to join up with fellow monger @RonJax2 and his ATF but we had some time to kill so we went back to the room for another session. Without missing a beat she ordered up another round of drinks and we began some LFK followed by some DFK and the clothing began coming off. We both forgot about the room service and during some passionate missionary we were interrupted by the waiter bringing the drinks. We took a brief breather and then got back down to business. Another round of Caballgando (cowgirl) and Cabalgando hacia atras (reverse cowgirl) and I was able to successfully complete another satisfactory session. We cuddled and cleaned up and by then RonJax and his ATF were on their way.
We joined @Ron/jax2 and his ATF in the lobby and then went back to the rooftop bar for some refreshments and a live DJ intermixed with some electric guitar solos. The girls hit it off and Ron and I got to exchange pleasantries and they shared their experience at a nearby restaurant, Anchor, which I’m sure RonJax will give a voluminous description of in an upcoming review. The girls talked of checking out an off site bar nearby. We gathered ourselves up and were off.
Having the ATFs for TLN really offered a unique opportunity to see some spots outside of ZN which was a really fun experience. We first stopped at a spot named “Cheers” but unfortunately it was closed for a private event-but not to fear, RonJax’s ATF had an alternate spot. We went there in a flash and this is when I began noticing my ATF Julia was beginning to lose some steam as she was resting her head on my shoulder in the cab. When we arrived at the next spot there was unfortunately a line to enter. As Ronjax’s ATF inquired at the door about the wait, Julia began to get a little green around the gills. She ended up composing herself and we were off to another bar as the wait was perhaps too long. We eventually made it to another bar/club which seemed to be popular amongst locals. Ronjax grabbed a booth and ordered a bottle but my ATF was quickly fading. We decided it may be best to call it a night and said our goodbyes to Ronjax and his ATF.
We caught a cab back to the hotel and Julia went immediately to bed. She ended up falling asleep and based on the amount of drinks we had , I thought it best to let her rest. The next thing I knew it was 5 am and Julia was frantically running around the room as she hadn't planned to stay the whole night as she had early plans the next day. She quickly got dressed and we said our goodbyes with a sweet DFK before she took off.
All said and done the TLN experience definitely was well worth the cost and even if it ended abruptly and could have been mitigated somewhat by pacing the drinks we still had a great night and definitely cheaper than if i had tried to have a similar experience in the ZN. My biggest takeaways were a big definite repeat on Lucerna as a great spot, but next time splurge for a suite with a fridge and bring some of my own cocktails to avoid some of the upcharge on room service. Also coordinating the double chica date with a great wingman like RonJax definitely made it epic. I will plan to include days 2 and 3 respectively in the club reviews to include: HK, Bar Tropical, Dolce & Gabbana, Chicago Club and a brief stint in La Malquerida.

Yes, I have had the same problem in the past in TJ, relying on room service for drinks.
The thing is, it's just not that convenient to buy booze. You can get it right before you cross the border, then you've got to lug it through security and over to the hotel. (This is probably the best option because chicas love US seltzers. But it's inconvenient.)
In Mexico, farmacías don't sell booze. Oxxos are ubiquitous but the selection sucks. And grocerias are hard to find.
