Sure, if you are "Getting Comfortable" then the pants you wear to a dance do not matter much. But if you don't live (as I do) in a super high mileage extrapalloza city, and the classic grind is what you have available, or you just prefer the LDK lifestyle, the pants you wear can make a difference.

In general there is a lot of variations and things to consider even in the same class of pants. Material, thickness, fit, color. Oh and style if you are gay. New jeans tend to be stiff, and thick. Old jeans are soft and smooth. Loose pants provide for better range of motion for the fabric relative to your body part. Tight pants provide a different kind of friction.

If you choose to splooge, you don't want an embarrasing visible stain of course, so tan khakis are not good. Black pants of any type are generally satisfactory for this problem. Camo patterns also work.

I wear jeans quite a lot, but they are not my favorite lapdance pant. Jeans tend to be restrictive for my very large penis ( All the strippers tell me that so it must be true) But not always the best friction to be had. This is not to say successful dances can be had in jeans. Older loose jeans are preferred.

Before company policy made jeans OK every day, I wore khakis in the summer, the corduroys in the winter.

A good loose fitting khaki provides a fine ride and a high stickshiftability factor. Never a bad choice, unless they are not black.

Corduroy is a special fabric for me. I really like a good grind in cords. And I have been told it can be quite stimulating "Ribbed for her pleasure" so to speak. Some like it, some really do not. As for full length pants which would be allowed in any club, cords are my favorite for a dance. Cords also have excellent absorption properties. Alas, I don't wear them any more and have only one worn our pair in my closet. Perhaps next winter out of nostalgia.

Gym/Warmup pants: They always seem to fall down on me. But I have warn them a few times for club activities and they do provide excellent stimulation opportunities. It was, however, for me impossible not to feel that everyone knew that I was a freaking pervert. Where normally I do escape that feeling even though everyone probably still thinks it.

Shorts: Obviously, loose shorts provide easy access for a great many confidence and intimacy building exercises between you and your dancer. Some clubs may not allow them. But for me, shorts are the go to option if the weather is appropriate.

What about underwear? Yes. You are not a gorilla.
Briefs restrict access, motion, and friction. You must wear boxers. Also underwear is your first line of defense against LDK stains.
Maybe if you are with your regular girl and she understands you are a sans underwear guy. If so at least wear freshly cleaned pants. You don't want to stink.
