It is pretty much taken for granted that the best club in TJ is the Hong Kong Club. And depending on the frequency of your visits and timing of your visits the membership for 50 bucks is a good deal. I got curious about some of the other clubs and some of the other options on my last trip. This is sort of a review of my lessons learned in trying to work a deal with some of the other options along the street.
Nice restaurant across from adelitas, "Loncheria el Buen Amigo" had a few 35MN negro modelos, best beer price on the street. Food was great, about 160 pesos total.
Walking around the block that the club is on you will see a bunch of other women plying the worlds oldest profession. The one I tried was at the Hotel Garcia, her come on was "Suckie Fuckie, only $25," plus 200 Peso for the room. The lesson learned was know what you want, stike a deal, and don't change the deal in the hotel room. Your will come up short. Also don't be drunk you are easy picking for the working girls. In a worse case scenario you lose money, just remember it is only money, pay and get out with your lesson learned.
In my case I started at $25/200mn, when I got to the room she said 20 minutes. More money equal more time. I asked for the hour, she said $20 for her, and 400mn for the hotel. Had the deal gone down that way I would have been fine. after we were done she said $40 for here, and 400mn more for the room.
I figured better to pay and go. Bring a note pad next time or just don't reopen negotiations. I would have come out ahead had I simple gone with the 20 minutes, and left. Instead i got a mediocre hand job, and wasted time getting ripped off.
I went back to the HK club, and the one I really wanted was there. My bad play. learn from my mistake. If I had a do over, I would have still eatan lunch at the restaurant, just skipped the hotel Garcia worker and stayed with the Hong Kong Club.
