Themed club in the Red Light District
Hospital Bar is one of the small strip clubs in the Red Light District of Amsterdam. The club was up a set of steep, narrow stairs. Cover was 40E, which included two drinks. There was a required, but free, coat check. The club had a vaguely medical/hospital theme. The dancers were in outfits sort of like "sexy nurse" in some costume shops, basically red lace lingerie with white and red jackets. The seating was padded benches that looked a bit like an old industrial hospital.
All of the venues in Amsterdam were small, and Hospital Bar was no exception. There was enough seating for maybe a dozen men and a handful of dancers. The same seating was used for dances, so people were sometimes told to get up so there was a place for it. There was one pole with a circle "stage" mat around the base maybe three feet across. They did have dancers perform regularly, however, despite the close quarters. They did a decent job given the tight quarters.
There were maybe ten dancers. They all looked good, fit with some variety in shape. None I talked to were from the Netherlands, saying Italy, Spain, and Romania if I recall. They all spoke good English, enough at least to chat briefly. After talking for a bit they typically asked for a drink. These were 35E, some of which went to the dancer; I didn't quite see how much of it. The dancer I bought one for was relaxed about drinking it while spending time with me.
