After a long break from ‘real’ work travel, I’m back at it (at least for a little while). Not knowing when I’ll be back in this area again, I decided to fit in as much SLSG as possible. Thus, I went consecutive nights (Friday and Saturday). (Maybe not the wisest PL move.) A synopsis of each night follows. Basic details appeared to be the same: $15 cover, $5 coupon on website, non-smoking, drink hustle, separate bar next door. Both nights felt slow and I couldn’t help thinking: “another example of a dying industry.”

Friday 9.30-11.30p. ($40spent) Slow. Not sure there more than 15 customers. I didn’t see the batting order recycle on stage in 2 hrs. So, I’d there were at least 20 dancers on shift. The dancers were about a 50/50 split between younger vs. MILF types. Most were good looking enough that I’d say more were ‘OK’ but not really any clear favorite for LD $. However, there was one serious heffer in the line up. Now I’m all for ‘different strokes for different folks’ but I just can’t see a lot of guy going to a SC for her. The 2-for-1 didn’t happen until 11.30 and it seemed very forced. More dancers than customers. Quite a few dancers didn’t make a sale. I decided to cut my losses (and hoped the next day would provide better options). Also possible of interest… this night the DJ was not the normal dressed like a pimp DJ. FWIW… the 2nd string DJ was a complete ass and never shut the F up. It really killed the mood.

Saturday 9-11p. ($80 spent) Not as slow as Friday night by still on the slow side IMO. Mostly the same faces on the night shift, but a few more younger dancers and a few less MILF types. No elephants in the room thankfully. I didn’t see the batting order recycle on stage in 2 hrs. So, I’d there were at least 20 dancers on shift. Somehow I started talking to Ms. Kentucky. At about the same time a bachelor party rolled in. Shortly thereafter they sent the bachelor up on stage for a ‘hot seat’ dance. I’ve previously described this in detail. [In short, do NOT do this to your friend.] Right after the hot seat, (about 10) they did a 2-for-1. I asked Ms. Kentucky before she headed up on stage for the ‘line up.’ She agreed. Her dances were very good but within the one-way limits enforced here. It also appeared that the bachelor part split immediately after the hot seat, and there were very few takers for this round of 2-fo-1s. Probably less than 10 dancers sold a 2-for-1. I hung out until 11 when they appeared to be trying for another 2-for-1. Still didn’t seem like there was enough customers to support every dancer selling a 2-for-1. I decided to split since I didn’t have a #2 selection figured out. The DJ was the normal weekend / pimp suit DJ.
