Vu-- better than it used to be

I have sporadically worked at this club on and off for 6 years. It is always super laid back and easy going, but is always a revolving door for management. The current ladies who manage the place now though are the best this club has ever had from a dancers perspective. As long as they run the club, I will continue to work there.

For patrons: 2$ tues is still the best thing you can do at a titty bar on bourbon for a Tues night. The drinks are 2$, and in general it will be the busiest club on Bourbon on a Tues night. On Wed-thurs they also have 1.25$ longneck specials, which as a dancer, i think is way too cheap a drink to bring in quality customers, but for visitors: if you want cheap beers, this is the spot to be. Weekends are normal drink prices. The talent here is across the board- some amazingly hot pole dancers, some girls who are not going to get hired at the higher end clubs. I guess Vu has always taken its slogan of "1000s of beautiful women and 3 ugly ones" seriously. Overall, i think the dancers are a lot hotter than they were a few years ago. Most of the girls are laid back and friendly as well. The dancers are about 50/50 on ethnic backgrounds, so in the club you will hear all types of music, and there are plenty of tattooed chicks as well. The dances are 30$, or in the upstairs booths 3/100$. The VIP rooms get as expensive here as at hustler. They arent as well decorated inside, but since you are really paying for hte girl and not the physical room, i guess it really doesnt make a difference.

Overall, a good place to visit if you are lookin for a good stage show and a club without frills. It isnt fancy, but its comfortable and you can see topless women. If you are looking for a high end club though, best to go to ricks, penthouse, or hustler.
