Cajun Club seems like it could...

Cajun Club seems like it could be a decent place, but unfortunately was having a bit of down night when I went there, even for a Sunday. The club is sort of out in the sticks, generally in the metro area of Minneapolis, but across the St. Croix river in Wisconsin, just across the bridge from Stillwater. It's at the intersection of a couple decently busy roads. The place isn't super fancy, and the decor inside is pretty dated, but it's clean and kept up well. It wasn't very lively when I went, but it seems like they have a decent amount of parking in the lot surrounding the building.

The club layout is a little confusing for a first-timer. The main entrance leads into the stage room, which is raised on on side so that the stage has forms the table and tip rail on the side where you enter, but on the raised side there's a standard low wall and counter. The room is fairly large with tables strewn about, and on the far right side is an entrance to their enclosed and heated smoking patio. On the near left side is the VIP dance area, which is separated from the rest of the room by an opaque curtain. Further back, to the left around the VIP area, is an entrance to the bar, and there's a darts and pool room off to the right as you enter the bar. The bar also has a few touchscreen games.

I went on a Sunday, when there's no cover, so I don't know how much that is normally. There were only three dancers working the night I went, but the club seems fairly female/couples friendly, because there were always more women in the club that weren't employees than there were dancers. When I got there, just about everyone was in the bar area, except for the doorman, who's only task at that time was telling me that there was no cover. For only three girls working, there was a decent variety, ranging from 5-7 or so. One girl wasn't particularly unattractive or anything, but didn't have the kind of body that I'd pay to see; one was a blond with a fairly average body and large natural breasts, but she looked like she may have been a couple months pregnant; and one athletic girl with smaller breasts who was probably the best looking of the bunch. No one was on stage when I went in around 8pm, and they didn't get on stage until about halftime of the football game, when all 3 girls did a set, and then dancing ceased for a while again. I was told that they normally have 5 girls working on a Sunday, but two weren't in for some reason.
