I was on business in Silicon...

I was on business in Silicon Valley, and I had a day off between meetings so one evening I drove into San Francisco to take in a few sites. That Tuesday evening, I came upon the Gold Cup in downtown SF. First of all there's no parking anywhere, so I ended up valeting the vehicle for $12. It's in a nice neighborhood though so if you are in one of the hotels close by, walking would be a safe option.

Then upon entering I was greeted by a phalanx of half a dozen black-suited managers. The entry fee was a steep $20. Entering at about 10 pm on a Tuesday night, I figure the club would be pretty quiet, but I was wrong. It was packed wall to wall. First of all, the club itself is not that big, certainly by Texas standards. I would estimate it was 100 feet by 100 feet. The front of the room was dominated by a large elevated semi-circular stage with a ring of stools for patrons to get a close look and tip. There were two very small satellite stages off to each side. When I say small, I been barely big enough for one girl to stand and gyrate on. Within a pit area in the middle of the floor were about 20 very small tables (tables for 2). At the rear was an elevated section where there was another ring of about a half dozen slightly larger tables. At the very rear wall there were about 3 couches used for lap dances. There was a small bar in the corner. The decor was all up-scale and first class.

This night every table was occupied and people it was standing room only. There were about 100 customers crammed into this small space, most of them wearing business suits. Then, there were also about 40 dancers distributed around the club. Most of them were quite pretty. All were young and in good shape. There was a mix of heights, and body types, but they ranged from 6's to 9's. 90% were white, and the rest Asian. I would say 80% of them were 7's or 8's. With the recent decline, no Houston clubs currently have talent levels that come close. This was talent on the level of a Baby Doll's Dallas, but with about half the number of dancers.
