I met up with some friends...

I met up with some friends and stopped by the Gold Club during a work trip to San Francisco at the end of October. It was definitely one of the better clubs that I've been to in terms of club layout/appearance/cleanliness and is comparable to some of the nicer clubs in a place like Las Vegas. There's a main stage where dancers do a two-song set (second one topless) with two small satellite stages to the side where other girls go-go dance before they go up to the main stage so you can get a good feel of the night's talent. There main stage is surrounded by standard circular tables with pretty comfy chairs, and this is circled by a bar and bar-style seating and counters. There are also some back wall couches where you can regular dances, a couple of closed rooms for next-level dances, and an upstairs where the VIP stuff happens.

In terms of the girls, there was a good number of dancers (around 20-25) for a Monday night, and it probably took 1-1.5 hours to cycle through the entire lineup. The quality was okay, mostly 6-7's with a couple of 5's and one 8, and it was probably 40% white and the rest Asian, Latina, and a couple of black girls. The dancers were generally pretty responsive to tipping and got really friendly and into their show if you threw out a couple of bucks, although there were at least a half dozen girls that were clearly drugged out, dead inside, and/or had evidence of recent pregnancies. I got a couple of standard dances from a hot Russian(?) Giselle (the 8), which were okay but didn't have much in terms of contact since they were out on the floor and not in the back room. She didn't do too much of an upsell, which was nice. In general, girls left you alone if you hung out at the stage and mostly circulated in the back part of the club looking to sell lap dances.

The only thing that really sucked on this night is that the club shorted my friend out of $20. He went to get $40 worth of singles and they only gave him back $20. He didn't realize until he walked away from the cashier and then she didn't budge when he went back. So that part of the customer service gets a huge negative, but otherwise it's a decent club.
