Hot stage, loud clubI'm not sure; I don't think there's a rule, or that anyone would refuse the money or anything, but they might look at you as a little bit of a cheapskate at worst? (if everyone else is putting up a 5). Do not throw coins at them though :D
I know at No 5 Orange, they do a club night every month or so where they outright sell USD though to make it easier to make it rain...

Finewell shit, I hadn't heard they were moving. But yeah...sometimes I've dropped in and seen ridiculously hot girls in an empty club, sometimes I've dropped in to see...less-than-hot girls working a full club

Saved by a danceryeah, it's a mixed bag in Portland - in general, the dancers set their own rules on everything (but are upfront about it); she made up for it pretty well, but there's some luck of the draw

Crowded? Since when does this place get crowded?Mary's is a few blocks away from the courthouse, but honestly if you aren't a police precinct and/or federal courthouse, I wouldn't worry about safety. There's usually one or two homeless guys kind of around Marys, but I've never done anything but nod at them and get nodded back

Still coming back to normalit was....3 weeks ago now. Bouncer didn't mention capacity limits I'm afraid, just that you could only sit at the tables around the perimeter. There were probably spots for....10-12 guys, give or take?

Nice enoughGetting there at least. The energy isn't really there with the reduced crowd and reduced lineup and all, but they're trying

The least Portland-y of the Portland clubsThey do all do private dances, but they're fairly expensive ($30-40 at a lot of clubs). The contact almost always depends entirely on what the dancer feels like, but honestly it's just not that common in Portland clubs for anyone to even mention private dances. The ones I've had have always been pretty nice, but nothing completely mind-blowing.
At Casa Diablo, there was a pretty constant line of dancers/patrons waiting to get a booth in the back. I didn't partake though :/

One Of The Few Afraid I didn't. By the time I'd seen enough girls to make a couple choices, I couldn't find the ones I liked and decided to go get some food instead. Mileage in Portland tends to be pretty limited, but it depends a lot on the girl. Given that some girls here kept their distance on stage, some rubbed tits on me, add one grabbed balls, I'd bet there's a range of mileage to go with it.

It was......fine.Also, i realize I should've put this in the original review - songs were full-length, and numbers were in CAD, so the 3.5 songs I got were around 15-20 minutes for the equivalent of $80 USD. Still a little too pricey for what you get, but not -quite- as bad as it sounds.

It was......fine.Yeah, probably; I'm not a fan of Seattle's $20 covers and $10 mandatory drinks though. I'm also kind of ok with good eye candy as long as everyone involved knows it's eye candy I guess. I just might not run back there all the time if that's all.

Hit or miss, even while mostly emptyyeah, and I think you've got the exact right feeling then :P
really, it seems like it could be a nice divey place to hang out and watch a game or something; it's just the (lack of) dancers that makes it more iffy I think
