Finally made it to Casa Diablo on a Friday night after hearing about it off and on over the years. $8 cover around 11pm, change comes back in $2 bills, and the door girl asks if you'd like to leave one for her. Also got a raffle ticket for the drawing that night, though I never found out what it was for (and never heard them announce a winner - maybe I'd have to stay a little later than I did). Their online schedule had 40 girls listed, and that seems about right for what I saw there. It's a little outside of Portland's main neighborhoods - maybe 10-15 minutes from downtown in a silent little industrial area.

The layout is essentially one big lodge-style room (high roof, exposed beams all over). Three poles essentially in a line between the front door and the bar in the very back, tables all around the perimeter for the actual dining (they're supposedly a good vegan restaurant as well, which seems a little ironic for a place I went expressly for flesh-based purposes). A small room for video poker and the kitchen over on the side, and another room for private dances in the back corner - it looked big, but I didn't partake that night. The bar in the very back had reasonable drink prices ($2 for a coke), change again in $2 bills, which means you're likely to tip $2 for a $2 drink. However, the bartenders are topless and hot, so you get a nice little bonus out of it I suppose. Near the bar, the first stage is dark, has no pole, and tends to have few tippers. Girls do their first song there, may get topless, may not. Next pole is for their second song, and they may get nude, may not. Third pole they're almost certainly nude, may have already been by the time they get there (sit at the 3rd pole for the best views).

The poles are high and that's the first thing you notice here - the girls seriously pride themselves on dance skills. Some are in stripper heels, some are in ballet slippers, some are in sneakers, some are barefoot. All of them spin at nauseating speeds, do death drops on the poles, etc. Some hold themselves up with just an elbow, defying physics.
