Warning -- it's happened before, so it might end quickly, but Rob the bartender is gone (up at up stairs jewel box) Rob could be a pain pushing girls to get dances, but he seemed to make them money, and with him gone, 80 percent of the best lookers are also gone. Also, there seems to be now no push got lap dances or VIP, will be empty for entire visit probably can still have ok time, but visual factor way down for now

SC does have 2 big advantages:
1. It is the only club that offers lap dances in DC area; lets u avoid having to drive up to Balt
2. For the girls; allows pop to make money that comes with lap dances without having to also do extras; which drives away more attractive dancers elsewhere, I.e. Baltimore
SC is pretty grungy, but I think is also suffering from trying to assimilate changes in dancers, customers that occurred when another area club closed

Not lack of tipping; unless u become a real regular of a dancer, the energy level has always been low during day, and sorta mechanical, impersonal, no connection type of place

Day shift is NEVER worth it; just no girls or energy. For me, only time worth going is after 10; Friday or Sat nite. Also, unless there specifically to see pay-per/view fight or the porn star; be aware that on event nights, pass that gets u in for free isn't valid; u end up paying flat 25 fee

It's a good example of the free-market; with its competitors closed down, Lido can charge more and scale back experience. That said, went twice -- once alone, just as described, but once in small group, and dynamics were much better.

The dispute over Rob the bartender now seems to have been solved, and he's back. This could mean another whole-scale change in dancers (many of whom went with him to another club for awhile), so worth looking at.

Great info; one thing -- the $780 room is not a sure thing -- as was suggested, you need to do some digging to find out if it's simply a dancer using it as an opportunity to charge $780 for the lap-dance, snuggle, "you're really cool" fantasy interaction, or anything more.

110 is usually the cost for half hour; they don't advertise it, but if you look like you're not going to go for that, you can get the cheaper for 3 or 4 songs. Usually, Rob drives a harder bargain than the other bartenders...

This has always been a problem, in a way, with this bar -- the bartenders are almost always much better looking than dancers (the one I think he's talking about is a 9 easy).

Agree -- it is weird, but at least during the day, EVERY girl I saw (no exceptions) was at least 40 pounds overweight.

Good info; many of the girls who used to work at RR have moved to the Diamond with Rob and Scott; not very nice physical club but not bad lap dance area.

Didn't quite understand "propping," if the new girl is who I think it is (dark hair, young, pretty skinny), I will say she did work sat -- but yeah, I don't think she's long for the place

I agree that the focus should no on what the crusty wants; but SOME care should go to the dancer. The strip club business has seen a massive exodus of clubs and good looking, non-drug addled women in the past decade. Famous spots are either a shadow of themselves / Mitchell Brothers in SF for example / or on last legs, i.e. Baltimore's block, which maybe has 1-2 years left. The "heck with them" approach, while justified in some cases, is leaving only older, unattractive, dangerous from public health perspective, or the good looking but clearly predatory types who deliver little unless y r talking mortgage payment level payments. Don't get me wrong -- at the end of day, this is business transaction. But if we only "reward" a very few, we are only going to get a very few , and from what I've seen across country, that's usually unattractive and addled. Yes you can get action from high Rosie o donnel look-alike, but really, why bother
