I've been there twice. Different experiences each time, but I can confirm your experience appears on par with mine. The only thing is the girls do get a cut of the $20 dance, they get handed a receipt but still try to hit you up for more money once in the LD room. I'll write my own review about it sometime, but people should know the hustle/scamming can be high here.

Yes, you literally have to make a phone call to the club to let you in. The interior is like an old fire hall. No stage, but there is a pole in the center of the room and like a wooden table top around the floor with chairs.

I was there about a month or so as well. Same exact experience...good time, but got hustled for an extra $40 after paying the $20 for an extremely weak (and short) LD. Will write a review about it soon so others know the LD scam that happens here.

I was there recently as well. I'm pretty sure they are now using the "private rooms" as regular dance rooms...which is a good thing. Only downside now is they cut the dances off a 3 minutes.

I've been noticing dancers demanding tips equal to the posted cost of dances at other places as well. It sucks, but people paying it (myself included), so it looks like a trend here to stay.

I wasnt rude. More like a reaction of disbelief. After all, this is pittsburgh...not miami or vegas so the price seemed way out of proportion to me. As for safety, a simple wanding would be fine. Plenty of other "high-end" bars and clubs can figure it out without having customers to do a dance for the bouncer to get in.
