Driving back into the US can be a nightmare. Only 16 of the 26 driving lanes are open for the foreseeable future. Walking is fine so far, but it may change as more migrants start arriving to Tijuana.

@ DrStab: Entering Mexico is simple with a passport. Usually no lines when crossing the border. I'm talking about returning to the US. The lines back into the US can take hours. A Sentri Card makes the return trip much faster

There are thieves everywhere in the world, not just in Tijuana. I visit Tijuana at least once every two weeks and I've never been robbed. Most of the Mexican cops are corrupt, so you have to be careful. Never make eye contact with anyone, especially the police. You're lucky they didn't plant drugs on you. In Mexico, you are guilty until proven innocent.

Nice review! I agree with you about the overwhelming presence of waiters inside of Hong Kong. From what I understand, these waiters have to pay in order to work there. This means that Hong Kong management has an incentive to bring in many waiters.

Best to go in the morning or early afternoon. The female/male ratio is more favorable.

Sounds like fun, but I recommend negotiating with the girl about what she offers before taking her upstairs. Nothing like a last minute surcharge to spoil the mood.
