Have been to Minneapolis and to the downtown clubs several times. Honestly, they're a complete waste of time. You're better off saving your money for clubs in a different city.

I've seen cops in/around clubs 2-3 times before. I was walking up to one club (never visited before) and noticed several uniformed police also approaching the door. I turned around and left. More recently, I visited a club (where extras were known to be commonplace) while on travel and kept getting asked by dancers if I was law enforcement. One of them finally told me the place was raided two days earlier. Once I'd convinced them I was not law enforcement I kept getting propositioned for extras, which I didn't want. I just wanted to watch the stage show and have a beer.

Thanks for the advice. From the posted reviews here, Rick's & Shiek's looked like the best places to visit. Most of the reviews said either could be hit or miss, so I'll go and see if I hit or miss!
