Easiest way to tell: look at the club in general. Is it clean, and professional looking? Then in my experiences the girls are the same. If it's a dirty club, or girls are willing to give $5 HJs then, most likely not. :)

Hate to say this (since I'm a dancer myself) but some girls are just plain DUMB. Part of this may be that some clubs hire any girl (and I stress "GIRL") of legal age, and the result is a girl, barely out of diapers who is just plain uneducated on life. Or, yes, there are also many older women who just can't take a hint! I prefer not to waste my time or the costumers, because I am neither young, dumb, or stupid. :) When meeting a new costumer for the first time, my general first response is "Hi there! Are you waiting for someone, or would you like some company?" If they respond they are are waiting for someone, I will offer to go and find the dancer they are there to see and avoid wasting anyones time, while putting myself in a rather good standing with the costumer. This has led to the customer actually coming back to see me!
My advice to the OP is simply tell the dancer very clearly and while looking her in the eye that you are waiting for someone else or simply that you do not want company. You'll avoid hurting her feelings but still get your point across. :)

I'm a dancer and I would never talk negatively about another dancer with a customer, no matter what I personally feel about 'said' dancer. It's unprofessional to say the least. The club I currently work at has a pretty strict 'respect policy' and flat-out doesn't tolerate drama between dancers. That happens to be one of the main reasons I now work here, and the same reason I left my previous club.
If I'm sitting with a customer, and he/she makes a comment about another dancer, I will either redirect the conversation, or offer a positive insight. Personally, I think all of the girls at my current club are beautiful, and very pleasant to work with. And because we all have this positive attitude, there isn't the typical strip club competition between us and everyone as a result has a good time.

Personally as a dancer i love playing with couples. I try to reassure the female half that i an in no way there to try to "steal" her man. Most of the time they get it and a good time is had by all. :) very good post. If your ever in illinois look me up!

Um player...please don't come to my club because I'll have to hurt you if you try offering me 60 bucks for ANYTHING. We don't wear 8 inch stilletos for comfort. When you can afford a bit more and want higher class fun come see me
