I would have to say that 80-90% range is a good guess for my area. Have only come across a couple of dancers that will not do some sort of extras. Business is down and the dancers are in more need of money than before.

- Dancers sue for minimum wage??discussion comment13 years agoIn the Springfield, Ma. area to which 4 of the clubs are owned by the same family dancers sued or are still suing to be employees. They now get paid 2.81/hr. That just made management up lap dances by $5 per song. Was told that it is room rental. The dancers still have to pay DJ(who needs one anyways) and bartender tip out money. Now dancers at 1 of the clubs were told that they have to tip the bartender $20 when they use the C/R for a 1/2hr. 1 of the clubs is even charging for locker and parking fees. Management pays like employers (nothing) but still charges dancers extra fees like they are private contractors.

- Contact In Mass Clubsdiscussion comment14 years agoI don't agree with none in springfield or hadley. In my travels over the years I have found that the clubs in downtown springfield are the most liberal around. Never could tell that there was a no contact law. The class of dancers my not be the best but Lace, Fifth Alarm and Centerstage in the downtown offer the best contact from all the dancers. The Mardi Grass is a little more upscale but you can get some good dances there. All of the clubs are owned by the same family so the girls move from club to club. The club in South Hadley is out of the way so there is less of a crowd which means that sometimes there are more dancers than customers which in tern mean better dances.
