As dancers we prefer it when guys come alone. They are usually there to spend money as opposed to spectate, and they are generally more polite to the girls. Big groups of guys get that gang-mentality thing and tend to be more raucous and rude. I’m just generalizing here, but when you work at a club where guys go primarily to get VIP’s, alone is better. Many girls don’t like the weekend crowds as much because they tend to be more comprised of lots of younger guys going in groups that just don’t have the available cash flow that older (read: more successful/accomplished) gentlemen have. Sure the young guys love to make it rain on stage because it makes them look good, but are they spending money where it counts, in the VIP?

My club allows the girls to use their cell phones on the floor when there are no customers and the girls just want to browse the net or update their FB’s (or whatever). But what the hell has it come to when the girls are taking call on the damn stage or TEXTING when sitting with a customer??? I know this is a strip club but is there any semblance of manners or simply polite behavior AT ALL anymore? If I were out to dinner with a guy and he started taking texts that weren’t from his dying grandma’s bedside, the date would be over.

I'm new to Vegas but not new to the industry. Avalon is correct- DO NOT come here without your A-game. Incidentally, A-game has only 10% to do with looks. Looks will get you in the door and looks will get you SOME dances. Your A-Game should also include self-confidance, tenacity, persistence, endurance, and the willingness to ask over and over and over and over again for dances without becoming discouraged. In many of the larger clubs, men are asked to buy dances the second they walk in the door, so many are on automatic "no" mode for the first hour or two. The sucessful dancer finds ways around the automatic no.
Be willing to be flexible. Avalon mentioned that at the Rhino the prime time is 9pm. All girls want to be hired onto the 9pm shift. But Vegas is a late town and the money never really begins to roll in until 2 or 3 am no matter what club you are in. Treasures and OG's are comfirmed late clubs too, with the action not beginning until 12am MINIMUM. If you are willing to come late and stay late (like 8 in the morning), you can make money in Vegas. Also, if you can travel here Tue - Thu during convention times you will probably make more than you would on the weekend when there are 3x as many dancers. Good luck!

Stilletto pretty much made my point - not all strippers have fucked up lives AND if you are going to talk about fucked up lives then you need to paint with a broader brush and include all women. Also, whats the barometer? Drug/alcohol problems, unplanned children, lame boyfriends, no long-term life strategies? All these things are running rampant in ALL of society, not just us who take off our clothes for a living.
