Lap Dance Cost: $20 as shown on the Front Page for the club. Has always been for many years. No tipping expected and I of course never tip except the Coke server.. like in drink not drugs :(

    Slow night but good night
Actually Phoenix is basically a no touch city under the decade ago ordinance written by the Christian group "to protect neighborhoods and children." Lap dances not in laps but legs over the arms of chairs so no dirty body contact and technically a standing hug with both clothed would be illegal. I knew owners who were fined or had to close for the slightest contact with a TV report on undercover spending long nights in clubs looking for violations. The requirement for private dancers to be in the line of site with a manager, etc. Fortunantely not enforced now for many years. I testified against the ordinance in City Council hearings as well as making swing clubs illegal. At the final Counsel long session with lots of pros and cons, the new ordinances passed unanimously with an emergency provision to take effect immediately, bypassing the usual wait time when ordinances become effective. And a few years ago, I had prostitution stings at Hi-Liter. I think the later police chiefs, with the officer shortages, decided to focus more on the massage and escorting without a license stings (especially Scottsdale)

Gee, for $200, I can spend an hour with an attractive escort in a bed in Toronto or Montreal without legal issues. Of course, that doesn't include airfare, a nice hotel or either a rental car or Uber.

Nice for a Tuesday, But Is This The End Of The $10 Dance Era?
I am almost 78 and have been on a Keto/Atkins diet for about 30 years. I went from a size 46 waist to 36 (I am 6-1), and only diet I can enjoy, not feel hungry and maintain weight. I cheat a few times, and when I travel, I eat like a pig (instead of eating pork) but quickly lose the few pounds I gained. Great review! The Candy store is close to me in N Phx, but I haven't been there for many years, compared to Bourbon Street, Sugar, etc., which are much further away. I once had a long discussion with the owner, who sought me out related to the other club where a guy died. I had no interest when I visited in the past, but your review hinted at some better times. I am going to try and private message you.

Solid daytime, nothing special or over the top
The "color" was attractive. I didn't get the horse reference I assume cow related to breasts , not fat. However, while I have never done VIP, and it's been a long time, the songs are the same, I assume, in the VIP as on the floor, seat, or wall since it's just one DJ playing music. I always avoid tipping the door guy by walking fast to the men's room, but I hate it when they have an " attendant" to hand you a towel or something. I just ignore them.

Should I be done with this club?
I have wondered why so many Cubans in strip clubs when I don't seem to hear about them being so many in Phoenix. So, I did some research: In March 2023, several thousand Cubans fleeing political and economic turmoil arrived in the Phoenix area, which was the largest influx of Cubans to Arizona ever. Cuban immigrants in Phoenix may be eligible for assistance and services under the Arizona Refugee Resettlement Program. Cubans who enter the U.S. with humanitarian parole may be eligible to apply for a green card after living in the U.S. for one year and one day. After five years, they may be eligible to apply for citizenship. BTW we desperately need more skilled working immigrants (not strippers necessarily) - paying into social security, taxes etc and huge labor needs both farming, hotels, restaurants etc. It bothers me when they are called "illegals" since they ARE LEGAL under the 1980 Public Law 96-12 as part of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. to create a permanent policy for admitting refugees to the United States. Most of them have court papers to appear for their claims but due to shortage of judges may be many years to get before a judge. But they are here legally just not "documented" other than as refugee seekers.

    Not going there again.
I have only been there once, many years ago, with the group of guys I often go with. We had an interesting time, with much attention at the table, but the pricing and vagueness were too complicated to deal with.

    Beautiful women, horrible value
I hope the $1000 for the experience was for 4-5 hours! A beautiful escort in a bed would have cost less if it wasn't for a long time with the dancer.

    Strip Clubs!
Good visit before the Fourth of July-first visit in around 10 years!
Great review Heellover, I wish I had your memory for dancer names. It has also been a long time since I have visited.. I have all my reviews from about 2010 and don't see any of Le Girls. I recall it was very high priced for limited contact. They may not have had the nude side then. Recall big place and had floor dances as I recall on chairs way in back from stage. I like the digital roster - I wish every club at some listing as I can usually not understand the DJ when introduces dancers is too blaring for my old ears. The odd prices are a pain. I never carry any cash other than a seperate wallot for strip clubs with cash or organized by denominuations and track amounts on spreadsheet. If I got coins probably just give them to someone since never use. I love my regular think wallet without cash just ID info and a few credit cards. I even have a 3rd regular big wallet for Canadian cash for strip clubs and escorts.

Thanks for the review it's been a long time since been there. I wonder if the police station is still across the street. It was one of my favorite places and was friends of the owner porn star Stevi Secret and "Mother Hen" who mostly ran it with a guy since Stevi lived most of the time in Las Vegas. I liked their old layout with the circle of chairs around a big round stage. We had some Phoenix Private List meetings there off hours and I have a picture of her on my lap at the swing club that fought the Phoenix law all the way to the 9th Circuit but lost - Club Chameleon - it made all strip clubs in Phoenix illegal but was not enforced against the other smaller clubs .

    Strip Clubs!
Back to Saturday nights (after 6 months)
It's a great, detailed blog, as usual. I wish I had your memory, and I would have to jot down the ones that will do $10 laps and peek at my "black book." I would love to see Raven again since, like you and BigTIm, I have known her for years. Bourbon Street has been my favorite for the last few years, and it has no VIP fees. The new coupons have no expire dates - as I had suggested to... forget his name, the nice owner originally from Duluth MN as I recall from long ago discussions. I was spoiled just coming back from the massive clubs in Mississauga (Toronto airport area). There were huge selections, no VIP fee ($20/dance), and full contact, but I never did extras that were available with no legal issues - nor with escorts, body rubs etc. I have reviews in the Toronto section; I see Bigtim found me there!

Million Dollar Tuesday 7/2/2024 Late Afternoon
For comments asked on submission, as every review has had in the past No entry fee. My Diet Coke $8-10 with tip In the sky refers to the long stairs going upstairs to the VIP. $20 VIP dances as everywhere and for decades. I do not know if nude on stage since wasn't watching not my interest Yes got topless and nude in VIP but nude isn't my interest since don't do anything down there. I finished writing this almost 7 AM after returning from downtown dinner and a nice long evening with a couple. I was a bit tired and needed to get to bed!

Thanks, I hope all is well. I look forward to meeting again or with the group at a club when you are back in Phoenix. Gee you found me in the Toronto section! Just did another review for another Toronto/Mississauga club. It's only $20, like Bourbon Street, but much more private and huge in comparison. Sugar as I am sure you have seen not like it used to be at least at night.

Phoenix ordinance is far worse but hasn't been enforced for years. Christian group wrote it "to protect children and neighborhoods." Lap dances could not be in laps but had to have legs over the arms of chairs. Even a stand-up fully clothed by all hug technically was illegal since dirty body parts (including breasts, even if under clothing) were touched. I knew some club owners who were ticketed for the slightest infraction and had to either close for like 10 days or pay large fines. Local TV ran reports of undercovers spending long hours as customers looking for the slightest infraction, asking if this was a good use of police resources. I testified at city council hearings against the proposal as well as when making swing clubs illegal (I don't mean dancing). Both ordinances were passed as an emergency measure without the normal waiting period to be effective. I was on the legal committee for the big swing club Chameleon that appealed to the 9th Circuit but lost.

    "Strippers afraid of extras" spinoff
OOps posted too soon... Also panic buttons in private areas, required security etc. You obviously can not violate WA prostitution laws but at least this was by and for the safety of strippers, even though a bit extreme. BTW included in required education is how to identify sex trafficking, sexual abuse and even first aid training. Also, a banned customer list has to be maintained for 2-3 years. Included is no longer city ban on alcohol sales which resulted in large dancer "lease" fees which are now restricted since clubs can also make money now on liquor sales vs previously in some cities, like Seattle etc.

There are also legal issues. In Phoenix, the ordinance says we have to have cameras monitoring any private room, and one club has had repeated busts and prostitution charges. The Phoenix law is probably the most restrictive in the US you had to straddle a chair arms to do lap dances since your lap can not touch the male front. Technically if both fully dressed, can not to a close standing hug since breasts would touch the mans chest and lower body contact. As a local TV reported undercovers would sit for hours in clubs looking for the slightest contact. I knew some owners who had to close for 2 weeks or face large fines for the slightest contact. The law was to "protect children and neighborhoods" by a Christian group dedicated to pass similar laws all over the US to save the children etc. I testified against the ordinance at city hearings and also against the new massage laws. Fortunately, the extreme restrictions are no longer enforced, although pre-covid, a club had various solicitation of prostitution charges against some dancers. At least the just signed by Gov of Washington State new strip club rules that was broad on by a stripper group "Strippers are workers" is more stripper protection but with mandatory training, ediquette rules posted for costomers

3 Phoenix clubs being sued for drugging, credit card fraud.
They were not just drunk. They were drugged apparently in their drinks, and it seemed that after they passed out, their wallets and cell phones were stealing their credit cards to make the charges. Other reports go into police report details. I also have looked up owners criminal/civil court records. There could be a movie made from it including attack on owner in his home, fight with the pawn shop guy, huge amounts of money loan sharked etc.

No Reason to Ever Go Back - a Waste of a $20 Cover
Widely reported in Phoenix media: Drugged customers, charged credit cards for $1 million A class action lawsuit has been filed against multiple companies who are the owners of Skin Cabaret, Bones Cabaret, and Dream Palace in Scottsdale and Tempe. These three establishments are known as “sister clubs” and are situated along Scottsdale Road. According to court papers, the businesses were responsible for a plan in which customers were given drugs, followed by the theft of their wallets and cellphones. The lawsuit stated that while the victims were unconscious, pictures were taken of them and their signatures were fraudulently used to make charges on their credit cards. Nearly 20 alleged victims are suing these clubs The complaint accuses ownership of racketeering, conspiracy and several other allegations.and records show there are more people with similar experiences. Probably the best strip club in the country
No many of us do not tip. They are making more money than many clients, and tipping is for minimum wage workers who rely on tips. In addition, it could be considered racist to tip since it started for black railroad porters who only made tips. It is just silly to tip a dancer or any professional sexworker. Never in 40 years have I tipped a dancer or escort and never was an issue. In most of Asia, tipping is an insult. When in Germany, just rounded up to the nearest Euro in restaurants, so don't deal with change.

Wokeism and Identity Politics at Sugar 44
I am an old dude. Used to enjoy Sugar more with sensual floor dances but have avoided in last few years. Many dancers do not allow sucking even in VIP which I support their right to limits. Any lap dances technically violate the Phoenix strip club ordinance but has not been enforced for many years. Even a fully clothed hug is illegal, so when enforced, dancers had to straddle the arms of the chair so they were not in the lap. I knew some owners who were shut down or fined for the slightest infraction. Even exposed on local TV how undercovers would spend long nights in clubs watching for any physical contact with dirty parts. I spoke against the new law at City Counsel hearings (and the law that made swing clubs illegal). I have never understood these silly right terms like wokeness. To me, wokeness means facts and science, not lies and misinformation similar to dictatorships. As for the war - both sides have some facts that are legitimate. The only solution is for 2 states and not illegal takeovers of lands. Yet the other side's aim is to destroy Israel, who, with some truth, took over their land as well as the illegal settlements in the West Bank. However, the extreme emotional vs fact-based views on both sides result in the current mess and many innocents being killed.
