Only topless? It used to be fully nude but I've not been there for quite a while (certainly pre-Covid and probably a bit more before that).

Over here in the Philippines, buying a "lady drink" means that she will sit next to you for a while. In some places, it will be a specific time, in others it will depend on how well you resist her or the waitress's suggestion of another drink. In a few places, you just get to put your arm around her for a chat. In others, you get a lot e.g. your hand in her panties and hers in yours.

I have explored the country quite a bit but mostly what is within a day's drive of Manila. For example, I just spent a few days in Angeles. I have made a few longer trips. A few years ago, I went to Cagayan De Oro; that was fun even though it included getting lost on a motorcycle in the jungle overnight. Even longer ago, I went to Cebu. There are many places that I have yet to see e.g. Boracay.
"Long haired dictionaries", I have not heard it before but I like it.

Yeah, she will probably only know her home province and around where you met her. I didn't mean that she would be a good traditional guide and tell you about the history of the country. If that's what you want then look for a professional guide.
Nonetheless, she can still be very useful. Despite, the generally high level of English, misunderstandings between visitors and locals are common. In fact, the high level of English can sometimes can cause problems since you think that you have understood each other but you haven't really. This will even apply if you are in an area where she does not know the local language (there is far more than just one local language here), she should still cope with the local language better than you.
She can also help with purchases. You can play the old hitchhiker trick. The local girl negotiates while the foreigner pretends not to know her. Once the deal is made, you
can pop up. You still probably won't get the true local price but you should still beat the unaccompanied foreigner price. I still use this trick with my wife after decades. I don't look local and I am never going to get anywhere near the local price by myself.
Of course, this all depends on you being able to trust her. She might collude with the locals to rip you off. Stories of this are common but I have not experienced it or met anyone who has. You will need to judge yourself what level of trust is possible. A basic one is to offer a nice tip at the end of the trip so that it is not worth her while to cheat you along the way.

Thanks. Indeed, there will still be challenges in a long term relationship but some work. In fact, there is probably a lower marriage failure rate among our British/ Filipino and British / Thai friends than our British / British friends.
Filipinos are more familiar with western culture than most Asians. As I said, westerner / Thai relationships can also work but they have some additional challenges.
Dishonesty can be a problem both ways. The girl may see you just as a route to a western passport and dump you when she has it. I have seen that but not a lot. The other way, many western guys can act rich while on vacation here and give the girl an unrealistic idea of the likely lifestyle you can offer her. I suggest trying to avoid this. It may mean that you lose an apparently nice girl but better to lose her early and try again than to bring her home and find that she is unhappy that she is not living in Beverly Hills in a mansion.

The upgrade from GFE is optional. I am quite upfront about being married and hence just there for a bit of fun. This des not dampen things at all but prevents unrealistic expectations from the girl.
The first step to enhancing the GFE or just improving your bang for buck ratio (more literally than usual) is to ask for her phone number and when her day off is (usually just one a week).
The next step, which I only know second hand, is to strike a deal that she stays with you for a longer period. E.g. Escorts you on a tour. I have seen many guys doing this and it looks like good fun. She is also likely to be really useful as a tour guide. English is commonly spoken here but nonetheless communication problems are still common. A girl from a bar aimed at foreigners will probably speak much better English than average.
I guess that at some point in this period is when you start to discuss even longer arrangements. I know many couples that started this way. Some openly admit it, others don't but it is obvious nonetheless.
Beware, although many of these upgraded GFEs end happily, it is not guaranteed. If she starts trying to beg or borrow large sums then get suspicious. You might be one of many guys that she is milking. I have not met anyone who experienced this but the stories are common.
You could try much the same thing in Thailand and the pros and cons are complex. It will be cheaper and easier in Thailand. If you just want sex with pretty girls then that is the place to go. The Philippines wins on GFE since they speak much better English and understand and appreciate western culture better. You will hit culture clashes but much fewer in the Philippines than Thailand.

San_jose_guy, the UK coverage is pretty good and it is also fairly good for many other European countries.
Outside, North America and Europe, the coverage is patchy or non-existent. Part of the reason, as some of you point out, is that many other countries don't have anything quite like US strip clubs. I don't make the rules of course but my opinion is that it is useful to include a wider range of clubs. I try to think: would someone who likes US clubs like this place? If yes then it deserves to be included.
For example, here in the Philippines, it is very hard to find a good stage show and, even if you do, it might be surprisingly expensive. If you just want to look and not touch then stay home. But if you want extras, then this is a great place. If you want the girlfriend experience then I don't think anywhere can beat it. Many guys do try to upgrade from GFE to actual GF. This can be tricky but does sometimes work out.
Maybe I should write my first article since I am getting a bit carried away in this question.

There's no problem with a bit of a delay, I was just worried that I had missed something. I will be able to remember the experiences well enough to post an accurate report after a couple of weeks.
I have added UK clubs previously and I didn't remember it taking so long.
Considering how good the scene is out here, it's a bit of a surprise that there's so little data. I was hoping to do my little bit to rectify that.

Out here in the Philippines, there's scarcely any pretence that the "lady drinks" are real drinks. It is clear that what you are buying is the girl's time. It is however, usually worth the money.
