“Florida is one of the worst states for people who make minimum wage.”
In an economy where welders can make $100,000 per year and med techs can make $80,000 after 2 years at a community college, there are alternatives to minimum wage.

AI will make everything cheaper and better. That will benefit everyone. Cheap food. Medical breakthroughs. All manufactured goods much lower in price.
But, yes, those with money to invest in AI stocks are going to make a shitload of money.

I saw a review of Barbie. Apparently, it’s a “ men are evil” themed movie with great set design and Margo Robbie.

Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
If you run an entertainment business, you need to hire ees based on customer demand. Some clubs hire just one profile of dancer and target interested customers. Seven up. Black. Latina. Coed. Curvy.
Others hire a wide spectrum, including BBWs, to have something for everyone.
In most big cities, there is something for every dancer and customer. It’s all about market demand.

This path is available to 90% of people in the US. Graduate high school, go to trade or tech school, work hard, make $80,000 per year, get married, raise a family, enjoy a good life.
It doesn’t have to be that difficult.

Rome rose and fell several times during its 800 years. We could get our shit together and rise again.
About 80% of the population is anti woke. We’ve just let the wokesters be in control for too long. A backlash is here.
The AI revolution is going to bring incredible innovation, productivity, and wealth. Today’s young people will see a world where machines do most of the work. Executed properly, that could make life pretty great.
We all just need to find purpose and principles that align with this new world.

Vivek Ramaswamy proposes:
Abolish the Dept of Education and use that money saved to support non union charter schools
Set requirements for a college to be eligible for federal subsidy and loans, including firing most administrators
Support trade schools
This would be a huge step in ending the woke industry

Georgemicrodog: “ I am morally superior. Anyone who disagrees with my view of the world, or my definition of virtue, is not only stupid but evil. I also have the ability to identify these evil people based on their age, gender, and ethnicity. I don’t need to know anything their individual character. Guilt by association is best”.

The US is divided between people who are proud of their nation and those who consider it racist and evil. That’s the bottom line. That’s at the heart of most of the conflict and division in our country.
The “America is Evil” perspective started in colleges decades ago, by Communist and Marxist professors. It has spread like a cancer.

For all the talk about Chinese military, the vast majority of their oil travels through the Arabian Sea. Their navy is really a Coast Guard without the range to project power this far out.
Any Nation with a couple modern Destroyers could shut down the entire Chinese economy in about 2 weeks.

We don’t use this oil. It mostly goes to China, which doesn’t have naval vessels that can patrol this area. We are using our ships to protect Chinese energy flow.

There used to be ideals that bound us together. They were the same ideals that went back to our founders. They made us a nation and gave everyone purpose in life. Family. Religion. Hard work. Freedom. Patriotism.
Those started to disappear in the 1960s, especially on University campuses. A culture of responsibility was replaced by a long list of rights and entitlements. If it makes you feel good, do it. The Pill had something to do with this.
Into this void came wokeism. Climate became religion. Group identity became more important the individual. Victimhood replaced Merit and accomplishment. Modern feminism replaced the family. Pessimism replaced optimism and the can do spirit. Manual labor was looked down upon.
If we are going to pull out of this, we need to discover a set of ideals we can all believe in.

“lay out facts and invite students to use critical thinking examine how the facts affects their lives.”
I hate to break it you, but that’s not critical thinking. You don’t “ lay out the facts”. You invite criticism of the facts. Do a little reading on the Socratic method, or the Scientific method, or Epistemology.
Telling students that the US is founded on 1619 slavery, then asking them how that affects them, is neither critical thinking nor history.

You can unfriend me, unfollow me, and unlike me; but you cannot unlick my butthole
I’m not a better person. I’m a happier person. Engaging with narcissists accomplishes nothing. They are incapable of self awareness, doubt, or shame.
As the Stoics taught us, a key to happiness is to focus your energy only on things where you can have influence and control. Simply accept those things you can’t change.

I have a lot of experience dealing with narcissists. They are insecure people who will never admit, to themselves or others, that they are wrong on anything. They aren’t “dumb”, they are fragile. They boast loudly to hide their fear of being found out.

Now that the Supreme Court has ruled race based admissions to colleges are discriminatory and illegal, there will be some massive class action lawsuits. Every Asian American who was denied admission to the Ivy League over the last 20 years could reasonably demand millions. Harvard alone could find potential liabilities in the billions.

Six years of anger and insults. Just mind boggling.

A lot will change over the next year, but it appears to me that there will be two candidates left for the GOP primary at some point. Trump and Vivek.
Vivek has been careful not to criticize Trump and Trump has said nice things about Vivek.
It will be interesting how this plays out.

Fair point about being cautious.
Obama was a political organizer before he entered politics in Chicago, perhaps the most corrupt political machine. He won the Senate seat when private legal documents about his opponent were leaked. After he was elected, his wife suddenly got a cushy $300,000 job at a hospital that later got big government grants. All that should have put up red flags about his sincerity and veracity.
Vivek is a billionaire who founded a successful biotech firm. He doesn’t need a government job to get rich.

We’ll know more about Vivek after the first debate. He’s 37, so it may not happen this year.
After hearing him talk about values, returning to the national character envisioned by the founders, etc I doubt that many will reject him because he looks different or is Hindu. He grew up in Cincinnati and he has Midwest common sense.
He’s not just smart, he’s really, really smart.
