I visited this club one day after having just a terrible morning. figured why not go see some pretty nude girls to make it better. the club location isn't much to be desired now that i think about it. but at the time it was perfect, a little ducked off and low key. I liked that. the guy i went with I had a really good "chemistry" i guess you can say with one girl. they were making eye contact and she genuinely looks interested in him. she wasn't an angelina jolie exactly but she wasn't ugly per say either. I had a couple of drinks which were pretty ok priced for the strip clubs I've been to. No touching allowed which sucks for the guys but was fine for me lol. the dancers looked very comfortable. I mean i don't know how long they'd been working there but they didn't look nervous or intimidated, which i found a strange combination with the fact that they didn't really dance. they were all kind of just standing there looking sexy. Overall, it was an okay visit. I did go pretty early so maybe if i went at a later time it would be better i guess. it was near empty when i went, i imagine though it fills out at night.

Went here as a second stop of a bachelor party. The club was fine, but nothing too exciting. We went upstairs where we were told by a bouncer that absolutely no touching is allowed, which is typical for DC. The place looked like a pretty regular bar, with one girl at a time "dancing" by one side of the bad on a pedestal. It wasn't too interesting as a show, and going up to tip basically meant walking up to the girl and standing there as she sorta dances, then giving her a $1. You could get private dances in the middle of the club, but again there was no touching, although it looked like a more interesting show. The girls were attractive, but the group got bored quickly so we finished our drinks and headed out. Altogether, it wasn't bad considering the lack of cover, but it just wasn't very exciting.

Archie's is my favorite place to go in DC. There are many one or two girls who aren't particularly attractive, but the vast majority are cute to very attractive. A typical night involves flashing the ID to the bouncer and getting the "don't touch" warning. For those who don't know, there are no lap dances or any of the other typical side items. You watch the girls dance, then spot them a buck when they come by - and don't get too friendly when you give them the buck either. You can go up to the stage and get close, but that's about it...and everyone watches you too. That all being said, Archie's is still the best place. The drinks are pretty relative for a strip club (6 for beer, 10ish for rail). The downstairs is the better location. It is smaller and easy to get a waitress t serve you. She will check in on you pretty regularly too. To understand this club, you need to also understand where it is -- on K St right in the heart of the lobbying and law firm hub. The typical clientele are guys from these offices going in around 8 or 9 (having worked until only just before). Guys come in for a drink and to sit with a girl or two to relax, feel a little baller, and blow off steam. If you have a favorite girl, you are looking for her. If not, or if she's not working, guys are probably looking to spend an hour or so shooting the bull and buying the girl drinks. You need to keep feeding them the money, though, they aren't just there for convo and drinks. Also, the most well-attended guys are those who go with individual drinks. As one girl told me before, she avoids the bottle service guys because they want to drink, not spend on her. The girls are a mixed bag as far as aggressive goes. Some waill sit right down and start talking (and how do you turn away a scantily clad girl who wants to talk) while others you will have to show your interest. One reason I like this club the most (in DC) is that the vast majority of the girls are real (as in natural, no implants). Some may not be the busiest, but they actually move. In sum, good place to see some cute girls take everything off and blow off some steam in a smaller, low-pressure place.

We took our lunch break from work the other day and decided to check out Archibald's. I'm new to DC and have heard of the ridiculous rules that are applied to the establishments in the city. Coming from a place like Detroit where there is so much available to club hounds I have avoided the DC circuit because I was afraid of being disappointed. I always figured that these were just exaggeration or that there must be a way around these restrictions. I am sad to report that I found neither of these things. Like I've been told about DC clubs, there are no lap dances ore even really table dances. The ladies occupied the two stages that the club had. We the attendees, approached the ladies and offered our tips. Of course there is no touching or really even interaction. Its mostly like watching a girl on your computer but she is right in front of you and you really can't even enjoy it. Now I'd add that I am obviously not a super rich man. I'm assuming if you had the money, and bought the ladies drinks and paid for their time, that they would be more amenable to your desires. I don't know this for sure of course. During the afternoon there were a few "gentlemen" of experience. I noticed a small cluster of ladies huddled around a few men, and I would assume these would be men of money. The dancers were decent. There was one white girl with amazing pierced nipples and a juicy ass. She was the highlight of the afternoon. Again at a normal club I would have loved to have seen that ass bounce off my lap. Another dancer got up on stage and proceeded to just dance, and occasionally swing off the pole above her, ignoring the two side poles. I found that a little odd. The drinks weren't overly expensive, within the normal DC range. Lunch came from next door I believe, a sports bar named, Fast Eddies. We got charged 24 dollars for 2 Cokes, which I assumed mean they actually charged for refills. Service was quick but again it was the afternoon and not many people were in attendance. Overall, my suggestion for newbies or veterans in the area would be to keep searching. DC is disappointing for vets, and I haven't had a chance to check out NOVA or Maryland to see what they provide. As I said coming from Detroit/Windsor this was the worst place to check out. If DC strip clubs were all I knew, then I probably wouldn't have a problem heading back to Archibald's at some point.

Lots of girls. Most were attractive, but no 9s or 10s. No real ugly or fat ones, though. Nothing has changed since my last review in 2004. It's a friendly place for a beer, and a burger if you're hungry. The girls get full nude on stage, but no touching. In casual conversation, I did not hear any of the markers I'm used to hearing from a girl looking for OTC action, like how long are you in town for, where are you staying, what are you going to do tonight. So it's just nude dancing for tips. OK. But sad, if one is not up for the trip to Baltimore.

DC regulations ensure that Washington is the land of mediocre strip clubs--no touching, no lap dances, no VIP, etc. With that as baseline, I have routinely had a good time at Archibald's. Physically, it's a small, narrow club a few steps below street level. A long bar, two stages, and about 20 tables. My first visit was in 1995, and basically nothing about the facility has changed in almost 20 years. Dancers are reasonably attractive (6-8 during the day, a notch better when the Russian girls show up at night). Day shift has a fairly steady lunch business (with decent food)then goes dead until 5:00 or so. I happen to like the afternoons, when the club is populated by bored dancers and business guys like me escaping for a 90 minute vacation fron the cubicle. A nice mis of ethnicity, no obvious dancer-on-dancer drama, and some friendly conversation between sets. Once night falls, the club gets busier and the crowd gets younger and noisier. Drink prices are in line with down-the'street bars, at least during the day. Once your "new best friend" dancer starts hitting the top shelf tequila on your tab, the equation changes; however, dancers and bar staff are not pushy about it. Overall, it's a great place to escape during the day. I'll be back.

Moderately priced strip club. It's my go to when I am in DC because it is pretty low key and I have had some good times here (and some not so good). It's cheaper than Camelot or Stadium, it is relatively clean, and the crowd isn't too sketchy. Basically its your only choice if you want to go to a strip club in DC that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. The crowd is a mix of yuppies, creepers, and a few hood rats but overall not bad. One thing that might be worth mentioning is the fact that there is a pretty high turnover rate in the talent. I have don't think I've ever seen the same dancers (or servers) here more than once.

I've been to Archibald's numerous times and am always impressed with the quality of the girls that dance here. While not the gorgeous knockouts - they are always "lookers". The club is nude and the girls guard their show closely and rarely show anything - a very classy nude show. There are two stages downstairs and one upstairs (open in the evenings). The main stage is average and the side stage is minuscule. There are no chairs that are near the stages and tips must be done standing in front of the dancer. The prices of drinks are a bit high, not unreasonable - but will add up over your stay. The girls are generally friendly, but usually stay to themselves unless you buy drinks. There is no using cell phones in the club, which seems ridiculous given the modern way of life - though the girls all seem to use them without consequence. Overall a good club to see pretty girls nude and get a little drink action. Not much else to it.

Ok to begin, this isnt the worst club around, I would just say its OK. Especially for DC. I'm not particularly familiar with DC clubs so I am going to keep that in mind for this review. I think for all DC clubs there is a not touching regulation. Not 100% sure on this so dont quote me on that. But as for this club in particular there was none of that going on Also there were no lap dances here. Somebody there did give me some further recommendations (more on that and another review on that to follow later ) Drinks were average for a mediocre strip club. The girls were completely bare bottomed on stage and were most were decent looking this night. There was one super pretty girl working the stage. I cannot remember her name but think was something like monique or monica.... check her out if you ever go there or ask about someone with that name. Again, I'm bad with names after a few drinks. I like that this bar is nude and allows alcohol because from experience, many do not. I was hoping for a private vip room, but alas, no such luck. But at least I wasnt hounded by a million girls asking to take me to vip. So I would return next time and I may take clients here for business because it is quite laid back. Oh, they do a reg food menu also. I was here at night so not sure about lunch time.

This club isn't bad for a DC club. There are a couple things to keep in mind for DC clubs to put it into perspective. 1. Lap dances and touching are not allowed (at any DC club). 2. There are no VIP rooms, etc in DC if that's what your looking for. I've been told - but don't know from personal experience that if you want a club that allows more, go to Baltimore. Other than that it's okay. Drinks are $10 for beer/wine. There is a full bar, and they do serve food. There are two small dance floors. Sunday-Thurs only the bottom floor is open, which is small and has a bar like atmosphere. On weekends the upstairs is also open. On a positive note - if you get annoyed by women constantly approaching you at strip clubs, asking for lap dances, etc - you may like DC clubs like Archibalds. Since they're not allowed the women really don't bother you that much. You can actually just sit, have a drink and chill out without much harrassment and watch the dances if you'd like. I didn't have any of the negative experiences of some of the other reviewers.

Used to come in pretty often when I lived in DC in the 80's, and the atmosphere hasn't changed much. Pretty women dancing on stage getting completely nekkid. But that is all the show you get; no touching, no private dances nothing personal (if only for a minute or three). It's one of the better options in a town that does not have much to offer in the way of club entertainment. So if you are in DC and want to see some live pretty women, this is the place, but if you are looking for an exciting jumping gentleman's club leave town quickly and head north to Baltimore.

Went to archibalds while on for a bachelor party. Standard DC Rules apply, No touching. So you can be right beside the stage have their bits in front of you while sticking dollar bills in their undies. Decent at least if you want a quick peak in DC anyways with out having to go to the suburbs of MD. Drinks were around $8 to $10 for your mixed or beers. The ladies over there are pretty decent Id say 7 to 8's I didn't see any 9+ ladies over there unfortunately. They do like to come and chat you up and sometimes I feel they do that too long and are just looking for tips while not really doing to much else and sometimes even asking for drinks. I fine that a bit offsetting but again its in the city and if your looking for a quick place this or camelots is good.
