The Hawthorne Strip

I went there on a Sunday afternoon and there were three dancers, and one other customer. I was the only person at the rail while I was there, and the girls did standard stage sets with little contact. In terms of appearance, the dancers were all above average (6-8). I talked with one of the dancers for a while, and got a private dance ($20) which was half air dance. The private dance area was fairly exposed, so not much privacy. My take on the afternoon scene is that it may be an OK place to talk with dancers, but expect standard private dances.

Tiny club, 2-3 dancers but no breaks. Most of the girls are hot and like all girls in this city, probably got discounts for getting multiple tattoos. I can't believe happy hour in Portland drinks were $2-$3 1 very small private dance area, never seen it used. Because it is so small the girls are more social. Great girls as I visit more often. It is amazing how awesome the great girls in Portland. There is a lot of work and so they working at multiple locations/ I find that a number of girls work at more than on bar, they seem to all like this one. The bartenders are good, the owner is great, and seems great to the staff.

I ended up going to the Hawthorne strip on a whim as I was in the area. It's basically a dive bar with a stage/pole. It's a small venue and has the vibe of your local neighborhood dive bar, which there are a lot of in Portland.<br> <br> As you walk in, the stage is in a corner to your left. The rack seats maybe 8-10 people.<br> <br> The Good:<br> No cover<br> cheap drinks. Well drinks $4, beer & wine discounted by 50c during happy hour (2-6pm)<br> No pressure <br> <br> The Bad:<br> Only one stage<br> Girls seemed pre-occupied with another guest party, so I sat at the bar.<br> <br> To me, there was nothing special about this place that would draw me back and I probably won't go back.<br>

Classic Portland strip bar. Just a neighborhood bar that happens to have a naked girl in the corner. People there might or might not pay attention to her. You wonder if the girls actually make any money in these places. No one buys dances and the people that do tip are only doing a few bucks a song tops. Who knows. Anyway, Hawthorne Strip is a cool place to hang out and grab beers but nothing more. Don't expect there are good lap dances to be had in this joint unless you have a really good relationship with a dancer. On the plus side it's close to other strip bars like Sassy's and Lucky Devil so you can make a night of it. No cover and cheap beer. Go look at some tattooed boobs.

I like this place. Stage right up front, with hot tattooed/pierced chicks doing three-song sets that end with briefly getting nude. No touching, but at the rail (called "the rack" here) they put their racks right in your face for any tip at all, so long as you stay seated and don't touch. Some adventurous pole dancing by real-dancer dancers. Each dancer here is pretty fascinating, whether it's the vertical/horizontal nipple barbells on the plump goddess with legs she can't point to the sky, or the heavily inked little blonde with glasses with a full bush. Haven't done a private dance, but they all insist there's absolutely no contact though they'll get ever so close. With cheap drinks at happy hour, great mileage for the stage tips, and friendly girls who appreciate being ogled, I didn't mind the lack of contact one bit.

This place is pretty nice, but not awesome. It's basically just a dive bar with a stripper pole at one end. They have 2 pinball games, and a tiny "private dance" ($20) area that is a curtained off section for one person. The one dance I got was pretty terrible, but the girls were impressive on stage. I was annoyed that she tried to charge me $25 for a weird half of two songs dance. The girls were cute, but not amazing. This is the kind of place where you could hang out for a long time and take it easy. Considering it was the middle of the day, it wasn't bad.
