best wireless internet device?

Sunday, April 12, 2009 6:36 AM
If you want to do secure transactions like doing some stock trading at an online brokerage account while you're away from home, what is the best way to do that? Just make a phone call or use a laptop with wireless access, or something else? I heard wi-fi wasn't secure so I'm not sure how secure wireless devices are either. What's your opinion? Something like a blackberry?

I am a frequent stock trader. When away from home, If I use wireless to access my online account, I immediately change my signon and password when done. Usually, I will transact by phone. It costs a little more, but is worth the peace of mind. I have had IT gurus tell me wireless in public areas is not very secure.
