Fired 44-Year-Old Stripper Sues Club for Age Discrimination
Dudester
Kimberlee Ouwroulis, who began stripping when she was 40, says the manager at New Locomotion strip club sat her down on June 6 and said, "Your time is up here," the Post reported. When she asked if it was because of her age, he allegedly told her another older woman had been fired the same day, and the club was going for a younger look.
Ouwroulis says she would like to continue stripping until she is 47 or 48. Ouwroulis told the Post that while the job is about looks, it is also about personality and attitude, all of which made her a great dancer.
She has filed an age discrimination complaint to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. She is currently working at another strip club as a dancer.

This is why the independent contractor set-up is better than having employees. If they can't make money, they start giving blow-jobs or quit.
Thirty years ago, I wouldn't look at her, but as I said above, "Not bad, in my book.", and I, too, would do her now!
Stare Decisis (precedent) set by this case was that the "Hooters Girl" (emphasis on girl) was a product.
Th independent ontractor thing, as you pointed out, makes the girl put out or get out. Several years ago, when Houston Dolls was both high mileage and full service, this one little spinner was an absolute ten in looks. In the lapdance area she believed in one way contact and very little grinding. I can't imagine how she would take home more than a hundred a shift.
Doesn't that seem to be a one way street? I will agree that a court, should the need arise, rule in favor of the club if a guy wished to dance. However, if it were a woman wishing to dance in a guy club, I bet she would not win. There are examples of this.

Probably she's been smoking for 30+ years; that said, I can certainly see her appealing to a certain customer base. Clubs really *do* need some age/race/body type variety, simply because one size doesn't fit all, customerwise.
I am *sure* there are other factors, though - clubs don't fire big earners because they're 44.
