Ebony Inn closure

Is the Ebony Inn temporarily closed again? I drove past yesterday (4/3/26) and today*4/2/26), and no cars on either lot (today) and just a few cars (white van, maintenance truck) yesterday. I have a review from February 28, 2026, so it was opened then.

I’m honestly surprised its lasted this long.

All other clubs in PG county closed a long time ago.

There's 2 clubs still in PG county

Maybe the sewer lines finally hit 100% clogged...instead of being at only 90% clogged that they have been the past year, and needed to be addressed.

I was thinking of the religious weekend being the reason for the closing. The church parking lot across the street was occupied today (Sunday) by about 30 cars.

I doubt it's because of the holiday...this has generally been a 365 days a year operation.

Anyone drive by today?

"Drive by" is ambiguous when a club has a gangsta rep.

I went past again today, and the orange cones are blocking both the parking lot and the walk-in entrance drive-through on the Ebony Inn side of Sheriff Road. The church parking lot entrance was not blocked by the cones, but the cones were still placed inside the lot. Gentlemen, I think it's closed for a while. Goodness for good? I hope not. Does anyone know which clubs the dancers may move to? I got a call from a dancer for a private dance at her place. Guys, please forward your thoughts on this? I think it's a setup? I'm gonna miss this place.

Has anyone thought to reach out to one of the dancers who worked there about what's going on? Or a club staff member if you have their number?

Avatar for Omyleon

Fellas, this is one of the reason why I collect numbers whenever I go here, I have atleast 5 dancers that I know and can meetup with. Many go to bmore and dance out there or do house parties. The dc area club scene will be done if this place doesn’t survive.

Omylean, have any problems meeting up with these women? Always felt safe?

Brown, I would be super cautious about a meetup at her place. If you've been around the club long enough, Im sure you've gathered enough intel to know that bad stuff goes down in the places where these girls live. I've known many of these girls a long time, yet I wouldn't venture into their territory, particularly their homes. Maybe...maybe...a hotel...but even then, it would be a bit sketchy.

Avatar for Omyleon

Would never tell anyone to go to their homes for sure, hotel or car at most, there is currently a petition to keep this place open. Atleast 3 girls sent me. In other words, it’s not looking good fellas

Yeah, I've seen the petition on their website, myself, a few days ago, without anyone telling me.

I was just there in late March on the weekend (no review). I think I've hit there at least 3x in 2026...

I dunno when it'll reopen. But it's strange I haven't seen anything about this sudden closure, on local news. I don't immediately see Facebook posts about it or Twitter. Which is STRANGE. So I'm only hoping this is temporary. Because: where's the 'street buzz' about this? I texted one dancer about this, days ago. She didn't respond. Texted a second one a few minutes ago. We'll see.

A Interesting trivial note: this sudden coincidental closure comes pretty much exactly 10 years after the sudden mass massacre closure of PG County stripclubs in the spring of 2016. Woulda been April 2016, too. Irving's was gone. Harley Riders was gone. Sinsaysionals squeaked by, but they're gone. A bunch of PG County strip clubs were suddenly axed. I heard the aim was to shut down Ebony Inn. In 2016. With the other clubs, but Eb Inn was the ultimate catch, was what I heard, don't quote me. That's what they were aiming for and ended up closing almost everything but Ebony Inn.

So I remember right after the 2016 stripclubs massacre, I asked nervously to a staff member about Ebony Inn. I mean, all my stripclubs gotos had suddenly vanished. He grinned and said Ebony Inn would never close. He mentioned something about Eb Inn is different and forever got an ace in the deck. Not his words, I'm paraphrasing, don't quote me. But man, he reassured me that day and we are strangers. (Btw, he still works there.)

I since learned some elderly politician been protecting Ebony Inn this whole time. Well, he done passed away recently like a year ago. So now Eb Inn is vulnerable. I believe. Ever since that elderly local politician passed. While he was alive Eb Inn was kinda untouchable, don't quote me.

I'm a sign that petition on the website, tho. I encourage y'all all to sign it.

Avatar for funonthaside

For what purpose is the petition? A - To show support of the club to PG County officials? B - For ownership to decide whether to continue the operation? If it's the latter, they have their answer based on business volume. As great as the place is, it's grossly mismanaged.

Which is you degenerate PLs wants to step up to the plate to serve as an influential MD politician to take on ownership of this place, to save it from demise? Seems to be the only option at this point.

I was at the block in bmore and you won’t believe, 2 ebony in strippers where there, just go ahead and plan your commutes, the block is fun but it’s way to wild to make a regular spot, best advice is to hit up the parties or go to other clubs like the house, last time I went there was an ebony inn stripper there as well. These girl will get there money either way

Penthouse in Baltimore has been closed for a while for a remodel, but I heard they might be hiring again ahead of the reopen.

I doubt you will find any EI girls at Penthouse. Totally different game. But, I'm quite excited about PH reopening....assuming they don't destroy what had been a great club, after the remodel.

@omyleon considering the caliber of ladies at ebony inn its just as possible theyll go into scamming, robbing or drug dealing as working one of the block clubs

I'm still baffled that I haven't seen any local press about this closure. It only makes me think that Enony Inn is closed for a separate matter fir a span of time and then will reopen/ return.

I can't see PG County politicians who spent how long trying to shut down Ebpny Inn, not doing touchdown celebrations over it's closure. They'd be announcing it on every media outlet patting themselves on the back. I'd think.

@gothamyte the irony is the most ghetto club in probably the entire state was the one most difficult to shut down

Also they are so desperate for funds they literally send over their employees to the church parking lot to collect funds from people parking there.

Youre not technically paying to park in the church lot, because you can just park and leave and the EI workers cant do anything about it. What your actually paying is a hidden entrance fee because if you dont pay those workers to “park” they will just run back to the club and tell management not to allow you in.

So in total your paying a $30 entrance fee for EI which is excessive. But people do it because of the cheap $10 lappers and lower priced extras.

Thanks Omyleon for your response. I drove past today , saw a white van, but it's still closed. Hmm, with the additional incidents, it might be difficult to re-open I exclusively go during the daytime hours (3:30-4) so I miss all of the crowds. Hmm, not sure its safe now, because I don't want to be in the crosshairs. If anyone sees any of the women at other clubs, could you ask them to post where they dance on this page? I'm unable to get to Bmore. Gosh, good things are so often destroyed by idiots. I got so much more to say. I'm in a relationship, but those 2-3 trips a month to Ebony will be missed. Stay in touch if y'all can, I'll post if anything changes or I come across some info. Peace to all

I, too, was made aware about the latest incidents in and also stayed quiet because I heard them secondhand.

Look, I personally think Ebony Inn will reopen one day. Because, as I mentioned, these latest incidents haven't made the news. Not TV media OR print.

That print media is the thing, for me. Once I see it in that print media, it's a wrap. If I don't see it in that, there's still a chance. Crazy to me I haven't seen anything mentioned in the news. Yo, when that news reporter did their thing years ago which got phones banned, that was in the news. When that 50 yr old got shot at Ebony Inn late 2025, that was on the news. For this to escape print &=TV broadcast news (fingers crossed) it will reopen.

If it doesn't reopen, cmon, so many folks are tied to Ebony Inn. They'll create another.

^^^^ That’s very optimistic but if no other PG County club has reopened following a closure, why would EI be any different?

And all club incidents aren’t captured in the media.

IMHO, it’s not really newsworthy.

Avatar for Brownc300

gothamyte, thanks for the reply, and I agree with your statements. I think the person who paid the taxes will reopen it in a few months under different leadership. I think the folks running the place weren't business-oriented, which allowed it to go downhill. Ever since Tracy died, the lady at the front taking cash has been slowly going downhill. Hire real security and clean up the place, and EI will return (maybe under a new name). I'll log off for now, but will check back occasionally for updates and will also include any new info I come across. Peace

Normally, I'd agree. But, I can't remember where I saw it online, Reddit, Facebook posts, local urban message boards, or even on this site, but, like, Google "Ebony Inn closed" or search that online and eventually you may find that there's been instances during this 21st century aka since the year 2000, where Ebony Inn closed for weeks to a month, randomly. And I didn't immediately see any local press or media about it; those brief, spontaneous closures over the years. All is see were random old Instagram or Facebook or Reddit posts. Wherever I saw it, I can't remember. Of course it eventually opened up again.

Plus: let's not forget, Ebony Inn is also a takeout restaurant of sorts. That needs to be mentioned in the press if it closes. Don't the media usually offhand mention when a local restaurant closes...for good? If the restaurant is most likely gonna reopen later, I'd think the local media press wint bother with a story.

Ebony Inn been around since the 1900s, last century, lol. There has been prominent celebrities who appeared there; including, off the top of my head, I randomly saw Young Thug perform there right before he blew up with his first hit.

^^^ Lots of rappers perform at stripclubs around the country. EI is not unique in that.

I do agree that some clubs may shutdown, either voluntarily or involuntarily, and re-open again, but this doesn’t feel like that type of situation to me.

It’s 2026, and the business model of the old school urban club is failing.

Baltimore - Try Lust and Norma Jeans.....but if you were a daytime EI visitor, those won't be suitable, as those are late night joints.

Their liquor license expired and they’re in the process of renewing. The adult entertainment aspect was operating under the umbrella of the licensed liquor establishment. But if you lose the liquor license then the legal basis for the adult entertainment use at that specific zoning becomes unclear. If you remember in 2016 a bunch of clubs closed because they were operating adult entertainment under a liquor license that didn’t authorize it, but Ebony Inn was exempt because they were grandfathered in to pre-modern zoning clauses so basically a loophole. They were exempt and able to operate adult entertainment in a zone that didn’t authorize it. There’s a hearing coming up soon I believe towards the end of the month, if the license is renewed I think they’ll reopen but if the BOLC decide not to renew it for whatever reason it’s a wrap.
