Watched From Dusk Till Dawn for the first time last night. I’m not into the horror/fantasy genre, so I wouldn’t be a fair reviewer. Lot of talent in the cast and the cinematography, but it seemed more to offer visual sensations than tell a story.

Speaking of talent, while this is far from the biggest plausibility lapse in the movie, as fine as mid-90s Salma Hayek was, with all of the topless hotties cavorting around the Tittie Twister, it’s a little hard to accept that Salma in a bikini would be the headliner. Plus, her dance sucked. At least Quentin Tarantino got what he wanted when Salma poured whiskey down her leg and foot into his mouth.

If you got past the bouncer and saw what was going on inside the Tittie Twister, would you hang out? I probably wouldn’t. A party atmosphere is great, but I draw the line at chaos and potential violence, no matter how many hot women are on hand.

Salma was off the hook hot AF. I almost DFK’d first time I saw it when Tarantino drank whiskey she poured down her leg and foot. I know now he has a foot fetish. I do too, but more high heels and legs than the foot itself, but I get it. Really hot scene, maybe the hottest in mainstream movies. I’d definitely go to the Titty Twister but try to leave before they all turned into Vampires. But if Salma was in the middle of giving me a footjob, I might loose track of time.

Salma also is smokin hot in a strip routine in the movie Dogma. Tell me the Hong Kong girls look like that.

if that['s how you feel regarding her top ranking amongst the titty twister roster i would imagine your head would explode to the fact that she's married to a billionaire.

Salma Hayek was around thirty in that movie and was nearing the end of the female peak of attractiveness that starts in their late teens and goes to their early thirties. I have been going to strip clubs about 16 years. I know no females who were working in the local strip clubs when I started going to them who are still there. I am sure a few exist but they are a rarity. Success in jobs like stripper, actress, singer and fashion model is assisted by physical attractiveness and you usually have your peak earning years when you are young.

Describes pretty much every Tarantino movie I've ever seen.

Most movies have lots of tangents that aren't needed for the main plotline. Tarantino's movies are like a Vivide dayshift stripper, who doesn't care much about going on stage and actually stripping. He turns the side hustle into the main hustle.

Tarantino wrote the script but the movie was directed by his sometimes collaborator Robert Rodriguez, who I imagine gave QT as many retakes of the “whiskey down leg and foot and into mouth” scene as Salma would tolerate, unless she insisted they use a stunt foot from the get go

Theres a revival theater in Hollywood that shows this at midnight every now and then. They ran it last Halloween. Tarantino is one of the owners. Def worth catching on the big screen. It's a cult classic.
